12:30pm gates open sounds good, unless there is a pub opening at 11am |

The nearby Albion Hotel opens at 11:30am. And the Railway Club Hotel on the opposite side of the tram line is apparently always open... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Id love to Ken - I'm planning on getting there early and not driving. |
I will be catching a train from Ballarat and then a tram from Southern Cross, so most likely be there early, do you know a good spot to meet? I have never been to this ground before so I don't know what is there! My Train arrives at Southern Cross about 11:45AM or I can catch a later one which arrives about 1PM. Not sure which one to catch yet! |
Mate, there is a good pub about a punt kick from that ground, I think its called the Railway club Hotel, from memory. Has a good bar and good beers, but they charge an arm and a leg for their steaks, grain fed and from cape grimm. Youd do better to have a big Burra Burger inside the ground, good value, I recall our Bucks was munching on one back in 03, at North port, after the PIes had made the Grannie, and he was watching our reserves. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

If we really want to win, you'd be leaving Golds and Wyatt out of the team, the VFL listed players on that extended bench offer more to us then either of them do.
Still a strong team, so is the Dogs though, no mucking around now, win or go home, for good. |

Anybody know what the story with Jonathon Marsh. He didn't appear to be injured after last AFL round." My only thought is that he didn't play enough games to qualify for the VFL team. |

He's eligible.
Apparently he was sent on holidays... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Shame Marsh isn't named. Good to see my boy Viola back, adds some pace to the defence. Given the Doggies side I'd like to see Wyatt omitted from the squad, go with smaller runners. |

the railway hotel is indeed a top steak venue.
the best bet is the hotel albion which is diagonally opposite the light rail stop nearest the ground. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
