Turnover as the Cats try to run it out, nice tackle Moloney, handpass swings out to Gray, good old Dolly sets sail from 50... AND GETS THE GOAL!

50-9

Good half. Two quite different quarters. First quarter was built around dominating possession in the forward half and the second quarter Geelong had a fair bit of possession even in their forward half, but we pressured the ball carrier well. Holding them to 9 points for a half is a great effort.

Hopefully we don't run out of legs (especially if we lose one or two emergencies).

Nice little tribute playing on the live stream to Dale Tapping, who notches up game #175 today across his career as player at Prahran and coach at Collingwood, which qualifies him for VFL life membership.

Congratulations, Tapps! Smile

Little known fact, apparently he played Under-19s for us back in 1983, under Keith Burns...

He appears to have made a world of difference since he took over as our VFL coach.

Absolutely! Tarks, as loyal a servant as he is, just didn't have what it takes, the rather modest list he had at his disposal at that time notwithstanding.

Whatever one's views on Nathan Buckley, appointing Dale Tapping ranks as one of his smartest decisions...

Oxley's out of the game, heading to the 'G as stand-by...

Toovey does.

Oxley gains partial qualification, but still has to only play 2 of the remaining 4 AFL games after today, if he isn't called up this afternoon...

Looked ominous playing at FF in the 1st term. Kicked 2 and clunked a couple. Has gone out of it since, playing, more time in the ruck.

Let's see how the rest of the day pans out...
