Maybe wouldn't be surprised but I would be pissed off.

VFL report said he was significantly behind Ramsay so I'd be pissed off as well. Need to reward form not gift games... and you can use as many emoticons as you like...

I normally agree with your views, MB, but dropping Thomas is one crazy call.

Why, He has done no more that Adams has done

Thomas earned a few credits based on his 2013 form. Not a lot of difference in them as players but Thomas also did enough to warrant another game and retain his place ahead of Adams.

Team balance. One inside mid for another.

I like JT very much, but I don't want to play 3 specialist inside mids in Ball, JT and Adams all in the one side. Then you add in Blair as well.

We didn't recruit Adams to play in the reserves, especially since we sold off a valuable asset to get him. That, and he was stiff to be made sub 2 weeks running.

Ball is now playing some decent footy, so he stays in.

Blair is not going to be dropped, no matter what.

Therefore, JT makes way.

Nothing the kid has done wrong, but he's 3rd in line at the moment...

Adams was suspended. I expect him to return.

There is no way JT will be dropped after one quarter of opportunity.

The man was injured for three years. The club persisted with him, he finally got on that park and he was GOOD. The ONLY thing you do with him now is extract games of football from his body until there aren't any left.

Adams played fifteen odd games last year and was one of his team's better performed players. Against us he was arguably the best player on the field for either team. I believe the green vests are about managing him and getting a little more out of Ball, not him being on the edge of the 22.

Due to team balance one of them is bound to be the sub, but I hope they are both in the 22 this week.

At Blair's expense.

I presume roar's feeling is that a player who has been appalling in the VFL (Armstrong) should not be getting a game ahead of a kid who has been serviceable at worst in the seniors (Langdon). And I'm with him 100%.

But if we want that diver Thomas going off and kicking 7 or 8 on the weekend, then by all means, we should play Armstrong...

no change for the side to take on the roos

Blair goes for Dwyer against the bomas if he doesn't lift and Dwyer plays as well in the 2s as we'd expect him to.
After an up and down start Adams needs to earn his spot back after displaying good form in the ressies for a week or three.

North allowed the Swans 66 inside 50s (against their own 48 ). Collingwood probably gets 16 goals plus if it gets those opportunities.

It’s not about what you and I think or about bloody emoticons Daz! It is about the Collingwood selection panel knowing a damn sight more than you, me or anyone else here. If they think it fit to select Armstrong in the seniors, I support them fully and you can all get as pissed off as you like and mimic the behaviour of those Collingwood member morons who used to abuse our own players at Victoria Park....... Exclamation
To be pissed off at a Collingwood player being selected to wear the great black and white jumper is worse than being a Richmond fan who eats their own! We should bloody well support the Collingwood players selected, not think that we (and our ego’s) know far more than those who count at the Club…… Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

There you go again thinking that YOU know more than the selection panel at the Club! IF they select Armstrong, I guess you and a few misguided fools here will be the first to abuse and boo him wearing a Collingwood jumper............. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

Absent a serious bout of bubonic plague going through the senior ranks (and probably taking out Marty Clarke and Jackson Ramsay, as well), there is simply no prospect of Armstrong being selected this week, so your ill-founded criticisms of jackass, MB and others with reasonably informed opinions on this particular subject are, with respect, irrelevant.

With all due respect I never ever stated that Armstrong WOULD be selected this week... Rolling Eyes
My relevant point is IF he (or Ramsey or Gault or Broomhead) WAS selected, support the player instead of being pissed off...... Evil or Very Mad Mad Being pissed off with a Collingwood player selection is as crazy as being happy with an Abbott broken promise like not changing the age pension.
As for Jackcass, he can look after himself although at times he makes some really bad choices like being best man at my wedding....... Twisted Evil Razz

True, we didn't recruit Adams to play VFL but we didn't draft JT for that purpose either. JT also adds some pace and good kicking skills to the team, which Ball & Adams do not.

Blair, Ball, Adams and even Swan, currently, would make way before JT, if I was in charge, but the way I see it Adams and Ball are the ones vying for the same position.

Extended weather forecast is 17 & showers, could possibly hinder the Roos with another wet game especially coming off a hard slog 6 days prior against the Swans.

If conditions are ok, expect a shootout similar to last years game. Hopefully our defense which has improved in the last few weeks can negate their attacking play.

Blind, unquestioning faith got the club into the mess that was the 1990's. Forgive me if I don't out-source my thinking to the club bureaucracy.
