Let it be known that even if you dont like him , Aish is a quality player.
Ill be Pi$$ed off if he goes for only pick 58 as has been bandied around.
Why cant trade radio have a bit of a speculation on what players worth are. No one has really tossed up Aishs worth and of all the garbage they talk why not talk about something relevant.
Trade radio is one of the most frustrating and infuriating pieces of radio going round. Its just a festival of commercials one after the other. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

Me too. Surely people are just suggesting that because that is a pick they have, but we will be asking for pick 22 even it means sending picks back the other way.
If we only get pick 56 for Aish then clearly we are over a barrel and there must be truth to the salary cap stuff.
We'll wait and see. |

Aish is 23, played in finals in a strong side and clubs offer up Pick 58....what a load of hogwash.
Our pick 35 and Aish for their pick 22 is closer to the mark. Maybe chuck in pick 62 as well.

Aish + 35 Freo
Picks 22 + 58 Pies
I think that is fair.
Anything that doesn't involve pick 22 and we're getting screwed.

All jokes aside - why the hell couldn't we simply swap Aish for Langdon last week?
Would Langdon be asking more $$$ than Aish's contract is tabled at? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Ed Langdon would be asking for more than what Aish was on, and would be yet another midfielder who is good enough to get a game but not an A grader or different enough from what we already have. He's a good player but not what we need. |

Probably because Aish didn’t finish anywhere near fourth in our 2018 best and fairest.
Langdon is a serious player. They would have every right to ask for more than Aish and it seems like we want to keep our picks so we can improve our overall draft position.
Also, regardless of what we offered, if the Dees offered $100,000 a year more, why would you pick the club who offered less. |

Hmmm.... not convinced he isn't what we need, but anyhoo he's out to pasture at Melbourne now..... who also must be maxed-out in their cap: May, Petraccia, Lever, Viney, Brayshaw, Gawn, Oliver.... reckon a few of those blokes are getting paid overs for delivering unders... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Would there have been any romance in swapping Langdon for Langdon? |

58 will be the deal - we have to dump cap space.
Don't be surprised if Shaz goes for a pick in the 70's or 80's to North as well |

In an ideal trading environment I'd put the worth of Aish at somewhere between selection 35 to 45 so basically a very late 2nd to an early 3rd round pick.
With the suspicion Aish is being shopped primarily for salary cap space rather than to benefit our hand on draft night I suspect Fremantle will look to exploit that.
It's not like Fremantle aren't fully stocked with trade options with 3 2020 second round picks but not convinced we'll get near one of them unless our future 3rd is also included. Even then not confident.
Hope to be proven wrong by Ned Guy. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Is Aish worth more or less than what we gave up to get him from the Lions?
I’d argue he’s a better player now than when he arrived at Collingwood. |
