I hope he has a full recovery and is back for Rd 1 in 2017. Losing players at training is dam annoying at any level of football.

Oh FFS. Been busy and missed this.

Keep your spirits up lad; you've had a good taste and shown something to build on. Come back bigger and better.

Are we STILL not getting it? Buckley's training methods are WRONG!

That’s 5 years now! Are we STILL calling it luck????????

After 3 rounds it looked insane that idiots thought it was just bad luck, now it's FIVE YEARS of long injury lists. One more injury and our season is over, if it's not already. Our backline is shite and we lose the guy who has easily been our best back all pre-season and the first 2 rounds.

Buckley is a failure as a game day coach, as a training coach, and as a Match committee coach. In the last 2 or 3 years he's become an excellent player development coach, after he made sure our vast Premiership window wasn’t just closed, it was removed and bricked over!

How long are we doing this? another year of losing our best players, and we're calling it bad luck again! How dense can we possibly be!? In fact I no longer blame Buckley, I blame Eddie and all the idiot supporters who DIDN’T GET OFF THEIR ARSES and DO SOMETHING!!

For gods sake! Get us a real coach! It just makes me sick that two rounds in I have to watch another failure!
Meanwhile triple premiership coach Bomber Thompson is sitting on his dot!
(yes, triple. You think Scott was responsible for 2011? hahaha! No, It was Eddie, Bucks, and Bomber who got the 2011 flag to Pussy-land, as anyone prepared to honestly face the truth knows full well).

Imagine, after the first NAB game you were told that Sidey, Varcs, Elliot, Swan, and Ramsay would be gone, that Cox hadn't debuted, and that Gault, Frost, Maynard, and Caff would be dropped, I think I would've just given up on the Ones and made the 2s my team.

I said it was too soon to play Caff in the ones, it was. I said that Cox had to debut in Rd1. I said play Cloke at half back (the only place he's looked good!), but no, Buckley knew better! Kicking 21.5 isn't a good thing! No, we'll dump the guys who made that happen!

The other sides are quietly pissing themselves tonight. Have you noticed that NOT ONE person who is associated with another club has ever had a bad word to say about Buckley? Only good things? Why? They LOVE him!
They know they don't hafta worry about Collingwood again! yay!

So when we finish further down, again, WHAT will you have to say? What will YOU do when Eddie announces another extension before running back to his vast mansion?

I bet I know!!!!!

I think that this view is way off the mark. Are you a medical expert? How can you suggest that 2x ACL + 1 foot fracture have anything to do with training methods? If Pies suffered continual soft tissue injuries then you would have facts to back up your argument.

Really gutted.
He has had nothing but injuries and all through it showed great promise.

Hes young. I keep thinking of Paul Licuria when young players do an ACL. Anything is possible for him. I really think he could be a gun if given the chance to get a good crack at it.

I'm sick to death of this shit. ramma was a vital part of the team
in going forward and building some consitency and hardness into
this team this season. is there a club in the land ever that has had more acl's
in a short period than ours? I doubt it. why is it happening??
ffs there's a reason for our players to go down as regularly has they
do. the conditioning and exercise drills they plan have to
be scrapped and concede they have it wrong. there surely has to be
a balance between the two. a rugby league player would have
considerably more impact training drills at training such as tackling
practice but they don't get acl's as regularly.
who's next on the lti list this year I wonder?

^yep, its killing us, sick of this shit too, had a gutful, time to sack whomever is in charge of fitness, etc, and reload, enough is enough of this ongoing and seemingly never, ever ending fitness fiasco. We are really going to miss this young fella, he was coming on nicely. Damn, are we cursed or what ??

It's very disappointing to lose Jackson Ramsay and I hope he recovers well. Not being an expert but, these injuries have got to be bad luck, not related to management as some posters are suggesting...

St Kilda have bad luck for 50 years and Hawthorn have had good luck for 50 years.
Oh Yeah!!! Stop the Bus as we have just run over Molly Meldrum.
Oh more bad luck for St Kilda.
Point is you don't get bad luck every year.

Shattered for Ramsay this kid has been great for us in both VFL and AFL all the best in your recovery mate. His last quarter against the yellow and black teeny boppers was a major factor in why we won.

The good news for Ramsay is that he still has a future. The advances over the last couple of decades is amazing. Imagine if John Coleman could have just missed a season...

Collingwood players fail to stick tackles against Richmond. "Heads must roll!", cry the jilted Nicksters.

A few days later Ramsay does a knee while taking part in tackling drills at training. "Heads must roll!", cry the jilted Nicksters.

Go figure.

I fully agree. This cannot be put down to the fitness staff. No one on here knows if he had injured this knee as a junior and if thios had caused a weekness or scar tissue. . No one knows if he had a weakness in one knee as a result of his anatomy. You can damage knee cartilage from minor movement if you twist the wrong way or something is not aligned correctly. It is just too easy to respond emotionally and just blame someone.

Bingo.

How the **** are players going to learn proper tackling technique if they don't practice? FFS that's what training is for. If all our training was non contact skill work, that would really set us up for the intensity of playing, wouldn't it?

FFS, people complaining about the training methods either get a grip or loosen the one you already have.
