cannot believe people seriously suggesting we trade witts. The grundy/witts combination will be a cornerstone of the the pies next push into the top 4, they are both top liners in the making. and yes they can play in the same side

The issue is likely to be that they will both want to be number 1 ruck. It's going to be hard to keep them both happy.

I love Treloar but if we lose Witts and Grundy goes down, who do we have?
Presumably we then go and get a cheap back up?

No way we give up Sidebottom and first rounder. GWS wins that trade. Sidey is a top 3 B&F finisher, our best runner and one of few with good foot skills. No way we offer that.

We would Trade or Draft a Mature-Age Ruckman IF we trade Witts

They got rid of Giles as they didn't need him. They have developing Rucks as well as pinch hitters.

Andrew Phillips, who has played 10 games but battled injury, has shown he is capable if he can stay fit.
Rory Lobb (two games), the tallest Giant at 205cm
Tom Downie (one) will be keen to take the next step.

Pinch-hitters - 198cm key forward James Stewart ( Best on in NEAFL playing ruck), Jonathon Patton, Cam McCarthy, J cameron.
Out of these Stewart is the one who is strong enough and not coming off an injury however as they age all are capable. Patton in particular looks very good in the ruck role.

Collingwood on the other had have Witts, Grundy and Cox with Gault and White as pinch hitter.
In Ruck years, Grundy and White are pups who can both hold down the number one ruck role. I thought BOTH showed a bit in the wet up forward yesterday.
Imagine IF they can be developed into a serious forward option !!!!

No chance we will want to let either go
