Didn't we finish with over 70k this year? Those numbers look so wrong? Did a 12 yo buy a build your own webpage and post shit?

No one knows until the final membership figures are released in the financial report at the end of October presumably. The club hasn't displayed any intention to release the figures in the near future.

I doubt we have only 55,000 members as it stands as that figure was released in March, but it wouldn't surprise me if we've struggled to reach 70,000 members or at the very least numbers are down compared to last year.

I've only been to 6 of a possible 14 Melbourne-based games this season, my lowest total in YEARS. I used to go EVERY week back in the late '90s and mid-2000s years. The sport is borderline boring, and our team uninspiring to watch. Probably be an absentee member next year.

Weren't we supposed to have 150,000 members by now ? I think Pert was quoting this as a figure some time ago.

You can bet your life savings that the membership figures are down or else Eddie would be spruiking them from near and far. Just wait this next year to see how far they really fall.

Depends on the coach situation

Sit in a packed area with a few thousand Collingwood supporters baying for blood regardless of how much they've spent on their memberships - or - sit in a sparse area with empty seats everywhere while the PA system tells you "the only available seating is on level 4" while you're entering the ground.
?????????

I have reserved seats in M32 and I'd like to keep that spot, we really like our seats. But at the same time I don't see a problem with GA members sitting in the area, in fact I think it should be encouraged.

If I had a GA membership and knew that I'd have to sit on level 4, there would've been a genuine decision to make on a night such as last night.

Reserve seating processes at the G an absolute disgrace, even if you're willing to pay the exorbitant $65 for a Level 1 reserve seat the cnuts at the MCC/MCG/AFL don't release them.

2016 would be the least games I've been since 1998. When I lived in Sydney.

That atmosphere I loved so much is dead. Drowned by artifical noise. Cant barrack without some do gooder giving dirty looks. May as well watch at home. Save me 4 hours driving, 1 hour in the car park (when it's open? ), and the drinks are far better and much much cheaper.

Considering putting my Gold AFL membership on hold next year.

I never would. Way cheaper than the Collingwood options that guarantee a GF ticket. Plus if Collingwood don't make it you can sell it to cover the cost of the membership the next year.

Putting on hold, doesn't mean cancelling. I can get it the following year and don't lose the gold status.

Also, don't like poaching off a GF tickets to anyone. Would consider giving to a relative or mate that was a passionate supporter of their club, but thats it.
