I've always found it quite odd that such a loving day would be named after an Al Capone inspired massacre

Hang on, I'm confused - Valentine's Day has been around a lot longer than that hasn't it?

If your in a relationship do you pay any heed to it?

If so Why?

If not Why?

Yes, it still is important for us.
I have been with my partner for half my life and the fire still burns. True, I stopped buying traditional flowers and cards years ago but we always do something for Valentines day.

Why? Cause it is a tradition for us.
If we do not make an "extra special effort" a couple of times a year why bother being in the relationship.

This year it is a nice romantic dinner at our favourite restaurant and we should be home late enough to allow the babysitters to get the kids to sleep.

Its funny that my wife still reads the papers for the love notes, even though I have never officially put one in, but there is always one that could almost be mine Wink.

I'm not too good with negative counterfactuals.
