Fair enough. I imagine all the loopy right will join her soon enough.
Why the Greens haven't pushed Milne out to pasture and replaced her with someone the public actually like and admire - Bant or Ludlum for example -I have no idea. I have no reason to think she isn't a competent and effective leader in most respects, but she just doesn't have the like-me, vote-for-me factor. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

People will keep going to Bali until it's no longer cheap.
I don't see the appeal of the destination to be honest. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

These executions are barbaric, and NO they wont be forgotten as with Barlow and Chambers. How can a person shoot a person in the damn head under your law and feel that is right.

A soldier does what he is told unless his legal advice about rules of engagement tell him otherwise. He or (although unlikely) she does what the the state thinks is right and proper. I dare say they would rather be at the movies or shopping with the wife but that is their lot. It is probably unfair to blame the shooters.
As for Bali, being one province of a large Archipelago I suggest the problem is with the country, not Bali. If you choose not to go to Bali then that is probably your loss as it is a fascinating place,
Unfortunately 9 idiots tried to make plenty of money out of an illegal trade and paid the price.
I am not seeing any grief over the Bali bombers getting shot. I was in Jakarta when they were killed and I can assure no one gave a toss, least of all Indos.
I would much rather Australia spent more time and energy on people like Julian Assange or (although now out ) Peter Greste than criminals. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

If the prisoner survives the 3 bullets in the chest, the commanding officer shoots them in the head with a pistol. |

How many Bali bombers actually got shot? Didn't a few get life instead? _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Well that is what they often do with a wounded dog. |

It's interesting reading. |
This was a really good read and it kinda changed my mind a bit. Obviously these two kingpins KNEW what they were doing and chose to get younger people into trouble through their greed. Arseholes both of them.
I still don't agree with the death penalty though. I do not agree with an eye for an eye concept. To me, they should have got a life sentence with hard labour. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. I wouldn't call them kingpins, more like middle management.
I guess like all corrupt and evil organizations, it's always middle management who cop it when things go south while those at the top pull out as much capital as they can and go and live on a yacht somewhere with two topless models and a pile of drugs. |
