Fitzpatrick, Parkin and Sheedy were consulted and surprise: they are all for it. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

It's being ripped apart on all the bulletin boards and social media. Geelong supporters seem to be the only ones for it. Carlton supporters are split. Everyone else is laughing it off.
Surely the other club presidents and those of importance in the AFL have voiced their disapproval of this ridiculous idea.
With the Hall of Fame starting in 15 minutes time, I hope they dont surprise us with anything stupid. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Carlton desperately need something to distract everyone from the fact they have just knifed their coach... again ... what have we got? Oh, that's right, lets churn up the old 1870 start date debate. Why not go to 1850? Give Melbourne and Geelong a few extra? How does that sit Carlton?

This old chestnut! If the proposal doesn’t get laughed out of AFL House then we’ll finally know for sure that the league collectively has an ADHD diagnosis.
I’m all for recognising VFA (and pre-VFA) history, as we already do. It’s a key part of the game’s history. But clearly 1897 marked the formation of a new competition, and any attempt to airbrush that fact would be absurd. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

As always - Carlton obsessed with their once-powerful past rather than focusing on what they need to do to rise from their dreadful present. |

The heavy push has come from Geelong.
If it were Collingwood gaining an extra 6 premierships, would they be so adamant about it?
If everyone took their team alliance out of it, they'd see its a ridiculous idea. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Yeah, no surprise given Geelong won no fewer than 7 VFA premierships. The agenda's pretty transparent, isn't it? _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

It means more $$$ next year because the AFL could celebrate 150 years.
Ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching. $$$ is all they friggin think about.
And ditto re Geelong. Gee, I wonder what their motive is? |

I reject anything that would deliver more Premierships to Carlton, past or future. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
