Eddie remains an incredible asset for our club, being the best President in the AFL imho. His profile in the media is incredibly advantageous for us.
However, sometimes he clearly oversteps the mark and puts his foot in it, causing embarassment for himself as well as our club. But that is simply a by-product of the media monster that he is. We reap the benefits of his amazing media profile and influence, but occassionally it also means we have to cop flak over some of his spontaneous brain fade comments. It goes with the territory.
Nobody's perfect, but overall Eddie is a fantastic President. |

Supporters should take advantage of Carlton's misery. Just check out the "Laugh at Carlscum thread" in the 'Other AFL Board' of this forum which is now up to 235 pages and counting. We've been laughing at them for years.
However, I wish Eddie would shut up in these instances.

But why not wait one more week?
Why give them any incentive? If it doesn't help us, why do it?
We've seen teams lift when under pressure, or play out of their skins when challenged.
At AFL level, football is 90% above the shoulders. |

They're 1-6 this year, 4-35 over the last 2 years, have won 5 wooden spoons this century, haven't played a GF for 25 years and will be bottom of the ladder if the Swans get up today - you think someone saying they should get a good coach is pressure?

Thanks Ed. Really appreciate you firing up the opposition.
However, the onus is on our players to fire up in turn. They thought it'd be a cake walk today, and Carlton pulled their pants down. |
