Trade for picks IMO, try and get into the first round and go for the best KPP available.

That would my preference, too, unless there was a chance of nabbing a quality player (e.g. Walters, Wright, Marchbank).

If we trade out is there any point trading for next year picks when Weideman and Petracca are available.

Both are young and would be 10 year players and both have strong Collingwood links.

2m Peter too.

And all reports are that KPP forward stocks in the upcoming draft are poor...

I doubt we'll ever see young Weideman in a Pies jumper. But until he signs a contract extension, I guess its possible. I just cant see it happening. Will be interesting to see if Hogan leaves or not.

Petracca would be amazing to get across to Pieland. Hes already signed on once, I cant see why he would want to leave now. He's a very honest, loyal and respectful young man. Like all Collingwood supporters really. I guess his passion for the club might be strong enough to pull him over, but Melbourne isnt the rabble it once was. Theyve built a good culture, and people want to be around it. Might depend on the new coach and which way they go?

Peter Wright is a player that I do not know a great deal about. Only sign, for me, which says he could be a gettable player, is that he plays for GCS. Does he play majority ruck or forward? EDIT: After a quick look at his stats, it seems he mainly plays in the forward line (27 goals for the year), and pinch hits in the ruck (Behind either Nicholls, Currie or Brooksby).

If there was any hint of Wright leaving, we should throw the kitchen sink at him. He's already good and will be a star in years to come!!

Wright is a beast. Can mark and kick at an elite level already. I'd have him instead of DeGoey in a heartbeat from that draft. Hopefully we can snare both.

The best outcome for us is for the Bulldogs to get hammered by the Eagles, which will lead them to want to get Cloke more than ever, to improve their forward set up.
