We all know the answer to 2 of those questions will be I'm not discussing contracts or trades. The couch knew it, so there's zero point in asking it. |

Ok about th Bucks interview.
The introduction was Healy "after the break we have Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley joining us on the coach" then a comment about last 3yrs out of the finals.
First question was about not being in the 8
Second question was about not being in the 8 past 3yrs
Bucks actually said thing like we didn't expect this we believed we had shown significant improvement in the first 11 games to deserve our position. He said after 11 rounds we were #1 in the comp for goal conversion and accuracy. He said since we are ranked 14th. And that's been the difference losing so many close games.
Made comment about honourable losses aren't acceptable and the players were still learning and developing there systems and structure and trusting it under pressure
Was pressed on the list changes to which he said he didn't plan for the cute to be so deep after 2011. Knew we would have some changes in 2012 but 2013 took them by surprise a bit dos they went to th draft with a deliberate plan to rebuild.
Said planned Reid to be a back but thought he was better served forward for this year and the development of the backline gave him the option of leaving him forward.
Said Marsh came to the club as a forward who wanted to be a midfielder and now a backman.
Said he was behind quite a few at th start of the year coming off bad hammy last year. Said he had impressed so many with work ethic.
Overall pretty tame really.
Bucks spoke very week as usual and again gives you every reason to believe. |

Just because you think you know the answer doesn't mean a question shouldn't be asked. Sometimes more can be derived from denials, obfuscations and avoidance than a pat answer.
That said, Bucks is well trained in giving measured, unemotional and not illuminating answers.

Yeah, I thought Buck's just went through the same motions he would go through in a toilet doing no 2. Not much science or special art to it, just broadly answer the questions with seemingly appropriate words but not really saying much or shining light on the issues we worry about on Nick's. That said, the questions were pretty piss weak and didn’t really give Buck's the chance to elaborate or illuminate. Nothing about the future needs of this developing team, nothing about any mooted team/assistant coaching changes, nothing about what action will be taken during the trade period, what gaps need to be filled etc.
Buck's always presents and speaks well but the questions didn’t allow him to go into any depth. Pretty ordinary interview TBH.
