How would you define the difference between sympathy and empathy?

By looking in a good dictionary. Next question please, this one is a dud.

Bingo.

I have the emotional range of a teaspoon so I can't empathise with all the people who have little empathy for Nick who has no Empathy.

^ They you are either semi-illiterate or a psychologist.

(Sorry. Didn't mean to offend. I would not for one moment want to seriously suggest that you are a psychologist.)

Not quite accurate stuballs - I have empathy, but I can switch it on and off like a lamp. It's dead useful; my empathy is reserved for those people that deserve it.

There's no thumbs up emoticon on Nick's. There should be. David make yourself useful son, install one.

On the Myer Briggs score did you score any on the F side or all T? I just barely register on the F side.

The Myers Briggs is a stupid test. How are you supposed to answer the questions when half the time more than one answer applies to you

Anyway.

It depends on my mood when I take it. Sometimes I'm a little T, sometimes I'm a very very big T.

^ Just so. Refer to my remarks about psychologists earlier.

(Not really a fair comment. There has been some great work emerge from the (in)discipline of psychology, alongside a heap of tendentious dross which has little relevance and less use, and deserves to have been strangled at birth. Bit like economics, really.)
