Go Donny Go..I put money on the nose for Bel Espirt, came home so strong. Got some cash back (although not much!!) on Lahora though, what a stikingly beautiful horse that one is. I know beauty is nothing, form is everything, but I never said I was Gay Waterhouse

Bel Esprit did a brilliant job to finish second given the barrier. It got out a bit too late but it goes too show that if it drew a decent barrier it would have one easily i think. Oliver proved that he is the best jockey in Australia by finishing second.
Watch out for Republic Lass in the Caufield Cup next week along with the brilliant Fields of Omagh.

Well unfortnately I didn't make it to the track as my tickets fell through.But i jagged the quaddie $120.00 outlay for $240.20 return.Won't be retiring but a winning day is a good day.Mind you I was listening to the races on the radio and had a few heart attacks in the run particually the first leg and the last two legs.
