I'd say that's exactly what will happen. Kelly was excellent during his brief time on the field, and will get a crack at a full senior game very soon I expect – no reason for him not to feel optimistic about where he's at now. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Pendles out & possibly Sidey our two most experienced players
Some one has to step up —a job for our captain _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I don’t think they would “rest” both
I’m assuming Pendles eye is still a issue and was told after the game Sidey had tight sore calf’s
If they miss I think it’s likely more likely due to this will be our 3rd instate trip in 3 weeks (Brisbane Adelaide Melbourne Adelaide) 2 games in heavy grounds which isn’t going to do aging legs any favours
If they both miss it will give us some insight into where the younger players are in development
Maybe McCreery gets some midfield or wing time |

Fly's press conference today was interesting re the Daicos tag. It was as though Fly wanted it to happen; likened it to chess with a quip about being a few moves ahead. Sounds as though we have a plan or two should the tag have an effect. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

Thought Ruscoe was a bit stiff to be dropped, thought he did okay. Maybe a matchup issue. |

Ruscoe did well, but Murphy has form on the board, so no surprise.
We have a lot of mid size backline depth. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I prefer Ruscoe to Markov TBH _________________ "You hate a mean man, a grasping man, a man who wants everything and gives nothing. That’s Collingwood. They are a law unto themselves"

Always seam we have a player with the flu every Friday like right on the eve of the round
Never happens on Monday
This illness is horrible like to know what exactly it is
Been around us since 2020
Not sure if it’s covid either
Pies still win and get the job done and win by 18 points |

Keep an eye out for the extra attention he will start to receive compared to others. |
Mate I agree
Do you think it’s part of the plan to keep him close to Maynard at the beginning of the game in case someone tries to really knock him around ?
I remember I think it was late third quarter he was at a centre bounce and stringer tried to get his shoulder into Nick and Mitchell stepped straight in front of him
It seems the older or more physical players are really protective of the kid
I can’t remember Pendles remonstrating quite so actively as he did last weekend
And the melee at quarter time
A couple numbers tried to get near him and Maynard and checkers reacted very quickly
Checkers actually grabbed 2 bombers players and Maynard came straight in and pushed his way into the middle of it
We all know Maynard won’t take a backward step in the physical battle |
You’re obliged to fly the flag for your teammates, regardless of any players age or experience. Nicks a target because he’s good, not because he’s young, so hes had to deal with it earlier than most. Seems like he’s doing a pretty decent job so far 😉 |

But it's all abut the venues. |

StK just got pipped by their nemesis PA.
They couldn't even win despite a free kick advantage of 28-14.
Suddenly our game on Sunday assumes an extra significance.
If we win, we are clear leaders on top of the ladder. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
