1. No, we're not going.
2. I've checked all the forums (or is it fora) on the front page and I can't see one for music or pop groups or old rockers so I reckon GD is probably the right spot.
3. IMHO, your "Delete if in wrong forum" line appears to be identical in its ridicule of the mods to Murray's disclaimer at which you took offence.

Would love to be able to see The Stones ... but they're priced way out of my league these days. I just don't go to big concerts any more.
Saw them in 1995.
They are the greatest Rock N Roll band of all time. Beyond dispute.
If this is in the wrong forum ... feel free to delete it.

Tics still on sale for Springsteen PrestFan1.
Going to see that one as well, though it's going to be a bit different to 6 years ago when he played at the Palais, just him and a guitar. This time it's Telstra Dome! not good.

I may be way out of line here but here goes anyway.
Moderators how come you allow this topic in GD which is not a football topic, but will not allow a Cricket topic, which is also not a football topic.
Can you please advise me as to how there is a difference
Thank you
If that's all there is my friend, then lets keep dancing. |

There is not a forum for discussions regarding washed out wrinkly rockers, so it makes sense to stay here. There is a forum for cricket...spot the difference? I hope so.

I'm not sure why our lack of guidelines is a concern for you Murray, you don't bother reading the few we do have.

Where should it go Dromana Boy? Or should we create a new forum for it, as LD suggests (probably quite popular actually, considering the bands touring soon)
And Craig - get over it. Whether of now moving the Warne topic was right or wrong, it's done. I highly doubt Kristin moved it to the cricket forum to boost numbers there. It was cricket related - it's not that difficult to understand the reasons for moving it!
All in all, if that's the biggest problem you have this year (month ) I don't think it's too much of a worry...

I'm not going to the Stones, but I am going to Brucie Babe!!!! I have been waiting for the opportunity since 1984/85 (whenever it was that he last came out with the E Street Band), cos back then I was too young and my mum wouldn't let me go. No, wild horses couldn't keep me away, even though I'm not so into his newer stuff. Bring on March 20th!

Oh Kristin, you really missed out on the last time Buce came solo. (97?)
I did not recognise one song, as it's the wife who is the fan, but I reckon it was just about the best concert I have ever seen.
Being 7 rows from the stage at the Palais helped also, he really is a very small man.
And Bruce, sang, talked, told us childhood memories, even commented how weird it was to be sitting in a dressing room, getting pumped up, and seeing/hearing people wissing past on a roller coaster! He'd never played in quite a place he said.
Still looking forward to the E Street band and actually knowing some tunes!

I'm not really into his 'mellow' stuff - I like his rock'n'roll. It would have been good to see him in an intimate setting though - I just adore the guy (even though he's my mum's age!)
Also, I had no idea he was small - I always thought he was around 6ft and BUILT!
I can't wait - I've got pretty good seats, on the ground right in the middle. My dream is that he gets me up to dance with him to 'Dancing in the Dark' like he did with Courteney Cox all those years ago...hey, I can dream can't I?
