In the VFL, goals in finals count towards the end of season tally.
Think back to last year when Aaron Edwards kicked his 100th in the first week of finals.
I think he had about 97 at the end of the H&A season, but will go down as a 100-goals-in-a-year player. _________________ Whale

Port Melbourne got up by 18 points, so Port moves in to 7th spot, with Bendigo down to 8th, but can still move up a spot if they beat Geelong tomorrow.
Casey Scorpions got up over Frankston, so they will finish in 6th. _________________ Whale

Thanks to Prototype for the scores, great win Williamstown! _________________ Kaylene.

I can remember being a part of Nick's history a couple of years ago when Williamstown travelled to Tasmania for a Friday night game, and I got the live feed from EleventySevenpoint08FM (or whatever they were called back then), which then went to the chat room.
It was a first for Nick's, a first for Williamstown and possibly a first for VFL football that a VFL game was 'broadcast' live on the internet. _________________ Whale

Pitty Williams couldn't reproduce that sort of form when he was playing for us. |

Dawes scored the one goal, gave one off, got some of the ball, wasn't a stand out for the Seagulls. Of the Collingwood listed players Dick, Licuria and Holland were the best, Holland took some time to get into the game, Shaw laid a fair few tackles at one stage I heard it was 10 tackles he had. Nicholls wasn't bad at times, scored himself a couple.

My dad probably mistook someone else for him, I just said what I was told, Brodie must have lost a bet with a lawnmower during the week.
A couple of young future draftees played well, Aaron Joseph and Alex Grima, though Grima looked the better. Aaron Cornelius played back in a rare appearance I am guessing the coach decided final game of the year didn't matter if they won or lost to trial him down back.
Benny Careless was good in the first, was quiet after, got some possesions towards the end. Going to be sad not to see him playing at the 'Pies I still remember when he first came to the club and was wearing 30 before Justin O'Dwyer retired and returned to South Australia.
A number change did a young Careless a lot of good it would appear, he made himself at home in the No.5 jumper, also being given a bigger role helped him out. Was best on ground in the 1999 Grand Final against the Bombers. _________________ Ðavâgé

Apparently the game is being replayed on ABC2 next Sunday morning at 1am. Could be a nice early start to Fathers Day for some. _________________ Whale
