Although there was not much at all to enthuse about in the seniors match, there were some very good signs in the reserves.

The most impressive player was Heath Scotland. He played in the centre and showed strength, balance, poise, an ability to get the ball and the ability to use it well. He is a bit light at the moment but when he adds some muscle I think he will be a very good player.

Another player who showed something was Damien Adkins. This boy is 17 years old and he showed a ton of pace. He also was willing to take on his opponent every time he got the ball. He certainly does not lack confidence. His kicking is fine, however he is pencil thin at the moment.

It was a bit disappointing not to see Oborne or Tarrant play. Players who did not play in either game were: Orchard, Patterson, Olarenshaw, Schauble, Walker, Tarrant, Oborne, Presti and Michael.

Jacotine did OK but probably did not get enough touches in the position he played (rover), while Gardiner showed enough to suggest we should persist with him a little longer. Nick Davis played half back flank and consistently drifted forward. He directly set up one goal. At one stage I almost thought I saw some dash in a run from the backline. I hope that is true but I think my mind was playing games on me. He played OK but wasn't involved too much.

Apart from our listed players there were many who were unlisted that played well. I don't know who they are but I think one of them will get drafted on to our list, and the others will go on to our rookie list. Scott Whiston played OK and should go on to our rookie list

Hello Ladies!!!
Thanks for the Reserves report George. the Big Valbowski was delayed at work & then traffic, only catching the last 3 quarters of the senior match.
Unfortunately I have to agree that there was little to get enthused about at the match, especially when comparing the quality of players both sides had missing (THIS COMMENT REALLY HURTS, BEING THE MOST PASSIONATE OF ANTI carlton FANS).
