The sooner they make guns illegal in America, the better. Whether the weapon used in this case was bought legally or illegally, the simple fact is that American gun laws make it way too easy for potential murderers to come into possession of guns.

Will never happen.
Any economics student will tell you that money spent on war makes room for more production, more jobs, and more 'growth' (at an abstract economic level at least). Given that those in government have STRONG ties to the economy generally (they're all millionnaires )and the military-industrial complex specifically (they all own defence company shares, always a growth sector in the US), such a ban will never be accepted by the ruling elites.

Banning guns just doesnt help Dave. The only people to lose their guns in the amnesty were the legal owners. All the crocked guns are still where they have always been.....in the hands of the crims.

Mate, if you ban guns, and slowly start collecting every gun you see on the streets, eventually you will see a difference. You've gotta start somewhere, and limiting the supply of new guns seems to be an obvious first step.
