Notice of SA Magpies 2006 AGM

Dear SA Magpies Member,


2006 was a successful inaugural year for SA Magpies - thanks for being part of it.

From a base of nothing, our progress included:

¨Accumulating 120 SA Magpies members;
¨Developing a SA Magpies Logo;
¨Purchasing an Overhead Projector that emits a quality 9’ projection on which we viewed ‘Pies games;
¨Establishing a base at Glenelg Jetty Hotel where SAM Members met to watch every game together in a pro-Collingwood environment;
¨Establishing a junior group and providing weekly activities;
¨Running a unique footy tipping competition where picking Collingwood is compulsory;
¨Hosting a function which brought together ‘Pies fans from all over Australia to meet and mix with like minded people (including a couple of Magpie supporting elite sportsmen who have represented our Country in their respective sports, cricket and soccer);
¨Establishing a suite of sponsors;
¨Developing SA Magpies business cards for members to distribute;
¨Sourcing tickets to AAMI Stadium and to interstate venues for groups of SA Magpies members to attend Collingwood matches together;
¨Building a SA Magpies website;
¨Submission of Cash Flow statement for auditing by CFC;
¨etc.

Thanks to everyone who provided input through 2006.

Now we have established a foundation for SA Magpies to launch into 2007 to further develop this very special group of Collingwood Supporters.

As we said last year, SA Magpies is for all Collingwood Supporters - young or old, male or female, CFC members or non-members.

On Sunday December 10th at 4pm, SA Magpies is holding its Annual General Meeting at Glenelg Jetty Hotel.

The meeting will be followed by some Christmas drinks.

Winners from the Footy Tipping Competition will be presented with their prizes (those not in attendance will have prizes posted to them).

Dates for 2007 (Obviously the AFL is using it’s “Cash-Cow” (Collingwood) to launch the ‘Roos migration North!):

¨NAB Pre-Season Competition Commences
o Kangaroos v Collingwood at Carrara, Friday February 23rd (8.10pm).

¨2007 Premiership Season Round 1
o Kangaroos v Collingwood at the MCG, Saturday March 31st (1.40pm).
