COLLINGWOOD IS COMING TO TOWN.......TWICE

Collingwood visits Adelaide twice in August to play the Crows (Sat night 5th) and Port (Fri night 18th).

Adelaide v Collingwood Function
SA Magpies are holding a function at The Glenelg Jetty Hotel prior to the Crows game.

The function commences at 4pm (Sat 5th Aug). Guest speakers are 3 passionate Collingwood supporters:
¨ Matthew Elliott wore the “baggy green” for Australia and played cricket for many years with Vic Bushrangers before moving to SA Redbacks.
¨ Michael Valkanis, former Socceroo and now playing for Adelaide United.
¨ The Man with the Golden Jacket, Joffa Corfe, is at the peak of his career on the other side of the fence. Supporting Collingwood is a passionate passtime, as Joffa will testify.

The big screen will be reminding us of past glories; finger food provided; drinks flowing (purchase from bar with some drink specials); have your photo taken in the Golden Jacket; win some quality Magpie Merchandise in the raffle.

Then, we will catch the coach to AAMI Stadium where we will be primed for our biggest game of the year so far! On board will be Mick Gallagher (who will have travelled from Sydney) to provide more pre-match inspiration before we take on the swarms of Crows supporters – you know, they still haven’t worked out that the game goes for 4 quarters ( Remember them swarming out at ¾ time before Tazza kicked truly after the siren to win in an amazing finish??).

With our black-and-white brothers and sisters from around the country, we will show AAMI Stadium a thunderous Collingwood crowd like they’ve never experienced before, and cheer the boys home to a win over the premiership favourites!


(Note, we welcome any members of other CFC Affiliated Supporter Groups and the CFC Cheer Squad and extend SA Magpies Member concessions to you. With the food, bus and entertainment provided, you will receive value for money).



Port Power v Collingwood Function
CFC is holding an official Club Pre-Match Function at The Lakes Resort before the Port game. SA Magpie Members receive a discount to the CFC Function.

¨ SA Magpies members can arrange tickets through SA Magpies.
¨ Non-SA Magpies members need to arrange package of game and function tickets through CFC.

St Kilda This Week
This week we have the chance to redeem ourselves against St Kilda. As usual, the game will be televised on Sunday at the Glenelg Jetty Hotel. Check your TV Guide for times.

Feel free to bring the kids along to enjoy the activities provided. Enjoy the wonderful selections available from the water gardens restaurant for a meal.

There is more flexibility if you want to pay for the function only.

How many tickets do you need? Do you want the game/function package?

We came up for the Adelaide function and are making the trip up again this weekend. Should more than likely be at the function again.

We look forward to seeing Collingwood Supporters from everywhere attend the game against Port, just like the turnout against the Crows (travelling 'Pies fans that I met in that crowd were Vics, Sydneysiders, Westralians and Tasmanians).

There will not be a function at Glenelg Jetty Hotel this week as SA Magpies members are supporting the CFC Official Supporters Function at Lakes Resort.

We have to win this one - our finals form will return and we will flog them!!!!
