Hey guys (and gals).
With the new additions to the BB, I was just wondering whether guests are able to see members details?
If not, how do we add guest to our ignore list? _________________ Whale

Why? Guests are people who aren't registered, or people who aren't logged on. |

But guests can still read members profiles. How do I know? I regularly 'watch' the Who's Online 'forum', and have noticed that guests are reading members profiles. _________________ Whale

Probably not much you can do about it, unless guests are restricted from what they view....and I'm not sure if that is possible. |

Guests should only be allowed to read the front page and the forums, and even some of them should be restricted from viewing unless you're a member.
A lot of other BB's do it.
If I remember, I'll PM you some URL's and you can see it first hand. _________________ Whale

Clossing down guest access the same as other BB wouldn't be anygood at all, you're talking about changing the whole culture of the place to achieve what? so some one can't read your profile? don't put anything in your profile that you don't want them to see.
I think the whole intention of the contact managment system is to find a better way of us members ignoring other members we have issues with.
I have never joined a BB that I couldn't access as a guest, we have a healthy open comunity here. _________________ Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, Glory..... lasts forever! |

My point wasn't the accessibility of the BB as a guest, just the access by a guest to our members list.
However, you are correct in saying that if you don't want your details visible, don't fill in the form lines - simple, but this then makes them invisible to everyone. _________________ Whale

Just a query (not meaning to be a smartarse), but does it matter if a guest looks at your profile? |

No, not at mine, but others (read: younger) might be concerned.
However, I would be concerned if I received a message from somebody (a stranger, a non member) telling me they got my details from Nick's BB. _________________ Whale
