This is a massive worry - 4 of our best
Let's hope this doesn't derail another season. |
It's December. |

Thank you magpieazza.
God-willing, I can do at least one more reporting the post-Christmas break to keep up the flow of information for the legions of Collingwood fans.

Thank you so much WL. I wasn't able to make training last week.
I wonder if you or anyone else sighted Tom Wilson on the track? _________________ TBA |

Thank you Ricky May.
Tom Wilson was quite positive in the match sim- wearing the number 48 once worn by Mal Michael. He certainly did not look out of place. Promising. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Thank you 'K'.
The knee is getting better- have avoided surgery by increasing the amount of fish in my diet (raw herrings are a family favourite). Have dropped a few kilograms as well which has taken strain off the knees.
I hope to avoid the knee replacement as long as possible and get along to a few games in 2020- only got to The G twice in 2019. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Adams was in a moon boot but that got taken off just before Christmas. Was precautionary.
Stephenson with glandular. That can be variable in its impact and longevity.
Elliott has been doing most of the training including the time trial, but will likely have been given a lighter day.
De Goey has his loads managed more than most given his injury history but ran the time trial, which is a significant reflection of his relative fitness versus last pre season.
Beams - we can't be hopeful about
Langdon's progress is slow. Same knee problem he had operated on last year. A concern.
As Lad notes, Greenwood's progress is a surprise. Hoping to be back mid-season.
On balance, I think we're in a better injury position than the previous pre-season. Howe, Crisp, WHE all in better shape than this time last season. Moore also is moving confidently. And we don't have a pre-season camp for Roughead to fall over Grundy and leave him underdone for the first couple of rounds as per last season! _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |
