These Democratic candidates are like octopus tentacles at the moment – chop one off and another grows in its place...

...and Patrick confirms:

(Bloomberg is still yet to officially confirm his candidacy, presumably on the grounds that everyone knows it’s a fundamentally absurd endeavour.)

Biden writing on Medium is very "How do you do, fellow kids".

Seriously, though, I’m glad if he and Warren start taking swings at each other. Potentially allows Sanders to sit back and reap the benefits.

Or Buttigieg:

Tulsi takes down Buttigieg. Almost as funny are all the comments from crazies saying she's a Russian asset, Democrat supporters (not necessarily the voters but the "fans") are crazy Laughing

The threat Sanders is seen to pose to the Democratic establishment can't be underestimated:

Wont be long until there's open civil war between moderates and Democratic Socialists. I don't see how a party divided can take on Trump. He might not have the entire Republican establishment on side, far from it, but they're pragmatic enough to back him.

Internal squabbling is better than actual civil war, which is what would happen if you had a unified authoritarian left taking on the authoritarian right.

Of course it's real.

They cheated him out of the nomination in 2016 so Clinton could be the nominee instead.

If it wasn't already obvious, Biden is cooked.

Whoever is able to needs to tap him on the shoulder and get him to drop out now.

I really don't understand how he's managed to stay on top of the polls for so long. In today's latest national poll, he's on 31% compared to Sanders on 15%, Warren on 10%, Buttigieg on 9%, Bloomberg 6% and the rest on 2% or less. That's a pretty substantial lead. A lot can happen between now and February, but he seems to be made of teflon right now.

Heard a bloke today on Radio. Bloomberg is no chance of winning, he's a disrupter. Biden will win the nomination and lose the election to Trump. (last bit mine)

He’s a stupid old white man - over 200 years of US history says that’s who usually gets the nod (on both sides). Sanders is old enough but may not be quite stupid enough for the American electoral palate.
