Ahem. The less said the better. Just as well she wasn't engaged in a game of leap frog. |

Even the minor players add to the video. The umpire walks across with his back to the major players and never sees what happens. The woman's reaction to seeing it all is fantastic. |

RB Leipzig score:
Is this a defensive blunder or offensive brilliance?
https://twitter.com/Football__Tweet/status/1169613402815238145
I guess if it doesn't count as a "blunder", it counts as an "oddity".

And should I add brilliance on video in this thread, or start a new thread? |

Jezza, I think I might add "brilliance" to the thread title, so every possibility is covered.
But in that example, I confess I'm confused about the start. I have to dive into the rulebook. At kick-off, who can have their feet in the offensive half? It looks like they had many players over the line.
Update:
"For every kick-off:
all players, except the player taking the kick off, must be in their own half of the field of play
the opponents of the team taking the kick-off must be at least 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball until it is in play
the ball must be stationary on the centre mark
the referee gives a signal
the ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly moves
a goal may be scored directly against the opponents from the kick-off; if the ball directly enters the kicker's goal, a corner kick is awarded to the opponents"

[I didn't know it's impossible to score an own goal with the kick-off!] |

Women's speed climbing record:
https://twitter.com/Serrels/status/1186052664347332610 (short video)
https://twitter.com/bbcworldservice/status/1187443667558109185 (long video)
"The climbing community was confused and surprised to see speed climbing included in the Olympics when the sport’s Tokyo 2020 debut was announced.
Climbers will compete in three disciplines – bouldering, lead and speed climbing.
...
Speed climbing is the odd one out. For a start, the route is always the same, so for many, it does not constitute climbing because it lacks a problem-solving element."

"A thrilling final minute of action included the Rebels converting on 4th-and-24 from their own 14 ... A series of penalties then brought Ole Miss to just outside the Bulldogs' goal line when Corral connected with Elijah Moore for a two-yard TD with four seconds remaining.
It looked like the game was bound for overtime, but Moore proceeded to celebrate by miming a dog peeing in the end zone. The act immediately drew an excessive celebration penalty, which Mississippi State opted to enforce on the extra point attempt. Sure enough, Luke Logan missed wide right from the extended distance, capping an absurd ending to the rivalry matchup."

"A goal from behind the halfway line is a rare sight in football, yet in the J2 League in Japan Montedio Yamagata managed to score two of them in 90 seconds. The two strikes from the home side caught the Ehime goalkeeper Masahiro Okamoto off guard on Sunday. The goals were scored by Shun Nakamura and Tatushiro Sakamoto. Yamagata went on to win 3-0 "
