Who is the "he" of the youtube vid? Do you have reason to think he knows what he's talking about?

No, not in particular. Just a dedicated classical music analysis channel on YouTube that came up in my recommendations.

The BBC’s recording of Bernard Haitink’s farewell concert in London last night conducting the Vienna Philharmonic. At the Royal Albert Hall, just like Cream’s farewell. I’m listening to the first half of the concert, which is Beethoven’s 4th piano concerto, performed with Emmanuel Ax. The second half is Bruckner’s 7th symphony which will, of course, show of the full tonal palette of the VPO. Haitink is 90 and I can’t remember a time when he wasn’t at the helm of one of the world’s great orchestras (most famously the Royal Concertgebouw for a few decades). That’s not surprising, I suppose - he made his debut as a conductor 65 years ago. Now, there’s a proper career for you.

If you have any interest, I do urge you to have a listen and soon - it stays up on the BBC site for only 30 days. You will scarcely hear more beautiful sounds from an orchestra.

On a side note, I suppose he chose the Beethoven because the premiere of the 4th piano concerto was Beethoven’s own farewell to live performance. What a night that must have been - the public premiere of this ground-breaking concerto and then, after the break, the premiere of the 5th symphony (yes, that bit of Beethoven that everyone knows) and of the 6th symphony. That’s sort of like the same bloke writing and then premiering, say, Abbey Road, Let It Bleed and Led Zeppelin II all on the same evening. Or maybe even a little beyond that.

Not this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leopt__ATR0

Lana Del Rey doing what she does best - talking and whispering in a slightly miserable way in the middle of the song, with Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus also doing what they do, by the numbers. Expect to hear this a lot, I suppose.

I keep hearing this.

It's not bad, only problem is I keep substituting the word "Finger" for "Trigger" everytime I hear it and it becomes an ear worm

The new Mazda has digital radio, I know, its been around for years, but I never bothered with it. Now, the digital ones are the only ones I listen to! Brilliant sound and way less commercials. Cool

Maybe it was Miley doing her "tough chickie" thing in the boxing ring, but for some strange reason, my mind wandered to this Laughing

Another song by the same artist below. The whole album is amazing (and I've clearly been living under a rock, given it came out three years ago):
