non collingwood games

hi has any one been to a non Collingwood game I won an afl membership in a pub promo I might go to a few this season whats the feeling at a non pies match im thinking of going to the dees saints match mcg easter Saturday.

Out of my life time the only non pies matches ive been to have been the occasional GF and maybe prelim.

gf attended have been:

1981 too young to remember

1984 1985 the back to back bombers

1990 in my mind forever

2000 Essendon

both 2002 and 2003 unfortunately

2010 got to go to both draw and replay
awesome

2015 last hawks flag v eagles

and 2018 well you know
my collections were are
not bad so around 11 gfs and I had great seats in all

1990 I was on centre wing southern stand side a hand full of rows back the roof was off the southern and it was sunshine I think I even had sun block cream on was a very warm spring day and a swerly breezy day very springy day

2002 an old wet cold gf very slippery I sat in the top deck of the old ponny then on wooden seats

2003 the ground was a bit boggy and heavy from my recollections I know melb had a lot of rain fall the gf week and the weather on the day was a still warmish spring day sat top deck great southern punt road end

2010 perfect conditions in both reply was warmer sat in mcc in the draw in front of the long room and replay top deck of the afl embers great southern

2018 middle deck of the Olympic in the pocket though I was right behind that dom sheed goal I swore it just touched the goal post i saw it go right through very tight kick

I was overseas Uk Europe 2004 2005 2006 in Thailand for the pies one in 2011 I was at a bar for all of them 2004 at the temple bar dublin 2005 in Munich 2006 in the pub in London next to Piccadilly Circus 2011 bar in Patong nice bars and destinations also 2014 in a Chinese bar in Beijing

I went to a couple of non-Pies games when living in Melbourne. I actually enjoyed them as there's no stress and you can take the piss out of both teams and their supporters.
