Adams couldn't be helped but we removed another two ball hunters in Sier and Greenwood from our Grand Final side.

Never felt right and the Cats beat us in contested ball, clearances and tackles.

Yep, I think the Nick's selection team got it right. We needed a tough nut in the middle sector. Tay will help enormously I'd say when he returns.

Disturbingly atrocious. Crisp, Howe, Phillips, Thomas all had absolutely shocking games. And as for this so-called "Star Studded" midfield they played like a bunch of champagne sipping millionaires, piss farting around all night with over-handball and senseless kicking inside forward 50 wasting chance after chance over and over it was cringe worthy stuff. And topped off with a final 10 minute choke just like the GF, what an inspiring club we are. Just a cluster &%%&.

I’m not surprised,We never ever win the close games, and we always play like shit in the first game of the year.

The game did highlight our greatest weakness, though. Our lack of key marking forwards. We got nothing out of Cox and Mihcek in the grand final and we got nothing out of them again tonight.

Geezus, it wasn't that bad. A few clangers cost us (looking at you, JDG), and the cats played for Hawkins. We'll sort it out and be better next week. And bloody hell it was slippery We definitely didn't handle the no-runners rule as well as Geelong -- hydration and rotations, Varcoe and Treloar benched was inexcusable. Maybe Pendles should have ordered a couple of players off the ground to get them on?

Cats were breaking the 6-6-6 rule, by the way. Umps missed a couple, and it'll be looked at by the overlords, but not mentioned in the media.

I think the whole team was rusty in the contest, and it showed, and I doubt Adams, Sier or Greenwood would have made a difference. To be honest, it was a pretty even contest with two teams with good midfields looking very rusty and a few terrible errors (from both teams) and a few special plays and a few terrible umpiring decisions deciding the game.

If De Goey had've kicked as well as Danger (a tougher kick I know) we would've won. If the umpires had've forgotten to give Geelong 5 free kicks that weren't there in the last, we woud've won. If Langdon hadn't have kicked out on the full in the last, we would've won. If Howe didn't kick to Dangerfield, we had a chance.

IF Geelong hadn't have kicked out on the full in the last, we still would've lost., If Rohan had've kicked straight, we would've lost.

It was a close game., and we'll get better than they will. I thought Ablett played well but Dangerfield stood up when it counted. Leadership is important, and our leaders and midfielders are still gelling and getting into their groove.

We'll get there

- Ben

What a bunch of prima donnas... absolutely pathetic display!
Been watching the way the girls play? Stevie Wonder would of been better at set shots for goal. Fck me, this is like a nightmare.

We’re perennial pretenders.

MEMO TO THE COLLINGWOOD PR TEAM: Stop the bullshit factor. Start winning games before waxing lyrical about the quality of the squad.

We will go 0-3 after Round 3.

Three cheers for Billy and Darcy. They did great in their "return" games. So very pleased especially for Jamie - he's been through such a lot to get back.

Too much short kicking.
Far too many skill errors.
At times we looked like a rugby team trying to run and pass the ball up the ground and then simply broke down and got nowhere.
Just crap.
