Haven't heard a whisper, K, let alone a screech. Smile

If he was/is on their minds, for the WC, surely they would've played him, in the ODIs v. India.

Healy mentioned Handscomb as possible keeper for the World Cup or even Bancroft.

Well, I think if they want to experiment, they have to play the new guys. They already know what they'll get with old guys. If Carey keeps failing, they can hit the emergency button and have Wade and Handscomb as the two keeper options. If they had picked Wade in the series just gone, they would have had to be sure they don't want Carey in the short term.

There seems to be some bizarre thinking going on, though. I'm still trying to recover from Craddock (yes, I know, just a journo) suggesting last year that Carey should be picked because he is in Craddock's eyes "good-looking" (or some similar words, which clearly were not a reference to his strokeplay).

Again, Wade highlights the crazy selection of Renshaw, for the Tests.

84 n.o. for the Hurricanes, tonight.

Yes, I realise T20s aren't Tests but Wade is sitting on top of the Shield batting table, averaging 63.44 and is in hot form, in the BBL.

At the start of the season, Langer assured players that Shield form would be rewarded.

SS Batsmen: Wade #1. Renshaw #36 - averaging 19.9

Donny there's mail around his papers have been stamped a while ago
Apparently he isn't the most subtle team mate if he's in a bad mood
Langer did say shield form was good form but also the selectors said they wanted to give guys a go who hadn't had the chance previously
The Renshaw selection doesn't make sense at all he's barely troubled the scorers
Patterson has earned his call up and looks to have a good alround game

Australia coach Justin Langer has expressed his empathy for Matthew Wade after the former Test wicketkeeper again vented frustration at being overlooked for a recall this week and suggested batsmen around the country are uncertain about what the criteria for national selection is.

This is a tough call for Pucovski.

With Sids and Renshaw the probable 12th & 13th. men, WP was all but a certainty for the XI. Now 12th. man.

Head is one of two VCs. Dare I say it, he's batting like the previous VC. Wink
