fair enough, i disagree, thats also what this board is about, opinions, and im passionate about mine. i feel its disrespectful, especially so soon. Im sure Sheedy did do that too, but unless someone did something that really cost them the game (like thumping an opposition player!) i doubt that player knows about it so soon.

With Boak and Roughead giving it up, Pendles may need to gone it up.

I think the maximum term a captain should be in 6 years.

Pendles will relinquish the Captaincy after he is a (deservedly) Premiership Captain next season.

He could give it up but why would he ?
I think at first he was a little reluctant as captain but he's grown into very well
2018 was a decent year for him as a player but IMO a great year as captain
He has become the coaches voice on the field and has played selfless roles to help the team
With the injuries that occurred during 2017 to get a team to the GF was a great effort and I think a lot of that was down to the captain as much as the coaches
He's nowhere past it as a player he easily is our best 5 players still
I think 2019 might be his final hurrah as skipper thus allowing him to enjoy the last couple years after the the has left and support the new skipper
When the time comes Adams will slot very well into the position
He has shown his leadership qualities already especially through the finals series working with Seir
In the GF he was one of the few who could say he played close or better than his potential and that speaks volumes
For mine as long as Pendles believes he's the right person then he stays when he doesn't then Tay is waiting

Happy for Pendlebury to hold onto it for one more year, but after that... come on down, Jeremy Howe.

Now second all time in disposals. One more season and he'll likely be the al time leader.

All these years down the track, I'd say it's his call.

He can play for at least 2 more years yet, if he wants to hand over to someone else while he's still playing to take some pressure off in his final seasons, fine.

If he wants to stay as captain, Fine.

he still demands a spot in the 22 just on form and impact.
