In the first important activity of the year, Aaron has signed to stay with the Pack until he's 40 and is going to be paid $67 Million between now and December. That's a little over $4 Million per game for the 16-game regular season that starts next week.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24514088/green-bay-packers-aaron-rodgers-sign-record-extension

It tails off, though - he's only going to average $33.5 Million a year and up to $180 Million in total over the life of the contract.

And so to week 1 - the FTA games (on 7Mate) are:

Friday, 7 September - 10 am AEST Atlanta at Philadelphia
Monday, 10 September - 3 am Houston at New England
Monday, 10 September - 6.05 am Seattle at Denver

And, in the first blockbuster "Sunday Night Game", the Big One, where we see whether Chicago's huge defensive signing, Khalil Mack, can snap the second greatest quarterback of all-time in half:

Monday, 10 September - 10.20 am Chicago at Green Bay.

Go, Pack, Go.

I'll be tuned into the redzone on ESPN from around 4am Good program to watch goes from game to game showing all attackign drives and highlights
Rodgers has certainly earned his coin but I was of the understanding the packers was owned by the people and didn't offer such deals ? (terms and length)
Im looking forward to seeing how the new QB in Mayfield go and the running back the giants nabbed named Barkley. If either are half as good as there hype is there going to have immediate impact for there sides

Down 0-20 before No 12 came back on. I'm very much looking forward to watching this one on replay.

Watched on espn he went down early with a leg injury taken off on the media cab then came back
In his interview after the game said he's got to go for scans still but it had responded to treatment in the change rooms (assuming he meant was strapped heavily and needled)
Was a little lucky late in the 4th over threw one straight into the arms of a oppostion player who dropped it cold

NFL live reporting he won't play week 2
Packers say there receiving more information before deciding if Rodgers will be available week 2
It's a knee complaint
No comment from Rodgers himself today when he turned up to training but didn't train which apparently isn't unusual for him at first run of the week

Other than Rodgers great come back highlights for the week 1

Donald went well for jets
Jimmy G has first loss as a starter
Brady just keeps on being Brady
Barkley went well
Mark was outstanding for Bears bet raiders will rue that decision
Petersen had good day for Washington
Gronk made his usual great catch
Cowboys looked disfunctional in attack
Zeke was quieter than expected
Rams looked very good but against a raiders side that was ordinary

The Vikes will be even more afraid that he might play injured:
