Seems the Pies, Roos and Dees are keen on the future Pies captains little brother. Unfortunately he doesnt come out of contract till end of 2019. He is having a gun season for the pitiful Dockers. Maybe we can do a Claye Beams type lure for Ed.

Phillips ran him off his legs on Sunday, so he'd need to improve his fitness base.

No shame in that, Phillips can run most players off their legs. Between him and Sidey, the opposition has some broken midfielders by 3/4 time.

As does Stephenson (who is out on his legs at this point of the season), so i might give him a pass for not keeping up with the best endurance athlete in the league (since he is a rook).

Hes had a cracking year in a crap team.
Easily one of their best ALL season. Uses the ball well, courageous and plays in a number of positions. Having said that, Im not sure hes the type we are looking for. If we got him for a trade bargain, he would be handy but hes also probably just keeping one of our many medium size flankers out of the team

Agreed. It feels like all we need is a dominant key forward like Lynch and a shut down tall defender for when Dunn has to pack it in (and i'd also start thinking about how we replace the likes of Pendles, Wells and Varcoe as they get older).

I just love our 5-6 mid-sized backs. They are so versatile and talented.

Scharenberg, Howe, Crisp, Maynard, Langdon and Murray.

Did Freo get the better Langdon? Perhaps a swap is in order Wink

Like WPT I prefer Ed Langdon to his older brother. Until he ran out of puff, I thought that he was one of the Dockers few good players last Sunday.

If we are accumulating brothers, we could also look at Ed Phillips down the track. He is nowhere near as good as his big brother, yet. However he might well be pretty good in a couple of years time.
