That smother says it all about Taylor. We were, what, 45 points up when he threw himself horizontally across an opponent’s boot? He’s the new Nick Maxwell, but more impactful when he plays than Nick normally was.

If Adams stops kicking the ball he’ll be one of our best contributors week in week out.
That two handed ball drop hurts my eyes.

Having now watched the replay, I have revised my votes and put him in the top three. He was a warrior in all the clinches, and his disposal was generally good. They all make mistakes, but his mistakes in this game didn’t disconnect the life-support, as he has often done in the past.

One thing I noticed n a rewatch of the replay was how Taylor Adams was nearly always the first bloke to embrace a goal scorer, tap someone on the head for a pressure act, etc. His real jubilation and passion for the club flows out of every pore, and his leadership, aggression and connection with every one of his teammates is a key part of this side and its spirit. He is no slouch as an extractive and running midfielder, but this value to the side is often underestimated. I love the bloke.

Agreed; it is great to see such enthusiasm and teamsmanship from the bloke.
The guy has never played in a final, and the carrot is dangling right in front of his nose at present. I hope it catches the rest of the team in the same manor.

If he plays within his limitations (i.e. don’t kick across the centre square or across D50), he’s vital. In an under terrier, that’s where he does his best work.

His horizontal smother across the boot of a Dees player is the stuff that lifts team mates. When you play sport and you see a team mate do that, you just understand very quickly that anything less isn’t acceptable out there.
I thought he was brilliant, his inside pressure allows the cream to reap the rewards on the outside. |

Great team player. Never gives up. Never gets thrown when he makes a blunder either. Just keeps going. A lot to like about that.

he's not just the first there, he lingers, and lingers and lingers. He hugs players for an uncomfortably long time and its a full on bear hug. Check out some of the hughs in the third qwuarter especially.
Hes a glue guy. Without glue guys, teams cannot be good.... Its just a simple fact.

has limitations, but I'm a fan because he leaves nothing on the field. Hard as a cats head and has anger issues to boot. I like the boy.

| You're all underappreciating his kicking and skills. I saw at least two incisive kicks into the corridor that opened the field up and led to goals. His banana in the last was skillful too. He's a first round draft pick, you don't get there by being a spud. |
