Discussion on the young guys building toward AFL after yesterday and there may be spots at the new decade

Picked two talls and three mid’s

Wells 34
Varcoe 31
Pendlebury 30
Reid 30
Cox 28

That is what they will be in 2019 season

Daicos ,Brown ,Wills Sier McLarty all getting experience in Collingwood style of footy

To put it this way we have some real talent and the thirty yr old plus players
by natural attraction will be replaced from that talent

Surely we want to have a club that doesn’t bottom out —winning a flag ever 10 or 20 years is not on

We will add thru draft and other avenues but I am curious as to who in the talent stable we have shows the quality to stay up and about as against drop down the ladder repeatedly

Pretty sure Pendles and Cox will still be there in 2019.

Sure they will but 2019 ain’t next decade—thinking more 2021 when the 50 to
100 game VFL youngsters are 21’sh

With 18 teams in the competition, it'd be hard to argue with a flag every 10 years! Would make us a successful club, I'd have thought.

Guess yes 10 or 20 year gaps but watching after a flag in 58 the following 1960-64-66-70-77-79-80-81 Grannnies for no result frequency of wins is what I would love

And considering at 1958 with 13 we were 5 ahead of Blues and Bombers who now are one ahead

No bugger it want continued finals appearance
