They don’t pay airfares for Mayne. He just sits in a spare seat, and since he’s invisible no one notices.[/quote]
With all the coin he's on, how does he get through the metal detector?
Excuse me! Where do you usually get for the club to spend another cent on this useless sack of shit from?

His recruitment was and is an embarrassment to the club and an indictment of the board/football depts.

The buck passing and blame game on the terms of his recruitment has almost been as humiliating as his recruitment itself.

He was cooked 2 years before we saw fit to recruit him ffs.

I actually thought he laid some good tackles, despite not being able to find the pill, but he had a lot of mates.

I was at the game tonight and to be fair the Collingwood forward line was none existent. Nada zilch for all of the second half and most of the first, the only consistent was Cox and Grundy rotating through it. Mayne did lay a few tackles even if he was only credited with one.

It really looked like we tested the defensive structures and midfield set up.

On the flip side GWS were a class above. They have some serious talent.

how many times do you guys want to keep repeating that Mayne's contract was a mistake. Is anyone disagreeing with you. is that why you feel the need to keep repeating it over and over again.

The club made a massive mistake. We all agreed about a year ago on this. can we move on now??

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2018/03/01/mayne-fails-to-take-opportunity-again/ I expected better of Mayne last night. He is just playing to get his pay check and will not make the senior squad once the season begins. Hope he has a big year in the VFL.

I was at the game last night. He didn't really have an impact, but I have to say he did look visibly frustrated at times and ran quite hard. I don't think his performance had anything to do with a lack of effort. Unfortunately, the pressure and criticism would no doubt have got to him by now, perhaps by early-mid last season. I suspect that Mayne's biggest issue at the moment will be overcoming his disappointment and frustration with how things have turned out - and I don't think that will be an easy task.

Our current trend will be to keep him for the 4 years and them employ him as a position coach as he's a "good bloke"

Gubby Allen, so we are told, engineered this masterstroke.

Those of us that watched his last game against us for Freo in 2016 at the MCG, noted he was past it, and offered very little, and all we have done is secured Blair V2.

Blair offers more.

And that's not an endorsement of Jarryd either.
