He got pushed while kicking. Freak accident.
I’d go as far as saying a ‘professional’ push in the back while kicking us a dangerous act and should either be 50m penalty or reportable. Happened to judd too. It’s dangerous to be shoved square in the back while about to kick a football.

I guess because Sean Rusling injured so many different body parts, people have all assumed it was genetic and thus haven't blamed any conditioning or medical staff.

^ Sure, but was more in reference to Rusling being an athlete (sprinter).

Recently confirmed by the Saints. More surgery for the kid.
Round 5/6 VFL return at best.

Looking back at the 2013 draft;

We traded pick 11 (Dale compo pick), 31 and 49 to WCE for pick 6 and 44.

Pick 44 was then traded to Sydney for Jesse White. (Swans took Aliir Aliir). And we also traded Heath for Adams and Paine for Karneszis.

6 Matthew Scharenberg
10 Nathan Freeman
65 Tom Langdon
77 Jonathon Marsh

You win some and you lose some drafts.

This one is a hard pill to swallow though. You cannot blame the recruiters for the injuries sustained by 'Berg and Freeman.

Sadly, we'll never know how good Freeman will ever be. If he doesn't come back well from this surgery, you feel that he might be delisted or possibly rookie drafted by the Saints.

And 'Berg with the foot and knee problems has also been held back and sits on 14 AFL games. Ten of those in 2017.

But we found a player thats in our best 22 at pick 65 in Tom Langdon. So there's a silver lining. We also managed to turn Freeman into Aish, but he also needs to put together some consistant performances in 2018.

From that years top 10, Kelly and Bontempelli are the standouts. Both taken before our pick 6.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, so just for fun we'll jump into the flying DeLorean..... AND.....

No trade with WCE or Sydney.

Pick 10 - P. Cripps.
Pick 11 - Z. Merrett.
Pick 31 - B. Brown.
Pick 49 - O. Fantsia.
Pick 65 - T. Langdon.
Pick 77 - Pass, or rookie upgrade if spot available.

Thats the truth.

It is just bad luck. Picks come and go and we on traded him anyway. So really its much worse luck for Freeman than for the club.

Someone forgot to tell Freeman that the good doctor is successful only with players like Will Hoskin-Elliott.

What is in November that Freeman paid his own way to Germany to see expert Dr Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt for the second time like in there?

So, it's a good waste of a pick then? Wink
