This totally contradicts his "friends" Greg Maguire's version that "Joyce rang him asking for a place to stay because he knows he owns a lot of residential buildings". I am waiting for a call of "Misleading Parliament" to be the next headline. |
Are you saying Greg slipped on a Bananarby spiel? | Good One. |

That’s quite inaccurate - you can, politicians can’t. |

Really... is it that important in the big picture?
This goes on in ALL workplaces. Anyone who thinks it doesn't has tunnel vision.
How about the muppets get on with the issues that really matter to our country... it's a pathetic mud slinging waste of everything.
The media won't let it die... pathetic parasites! _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

The PM has publicly had a crack at the Deputy PM. The Deputy PM has called the PM inept. It's just great. |

^ Good on him. Turnbull was way out of line. That moralistic crap might get you a standing ovation in this day and age, but getting up and saying that stuff about someone else is actually a pretty cowardly thing to do. So, any and all pushback is encouraging. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Standing the high moral ground is fraught with danger. Bananarby has been exposed. All we need now is Malcolm to follow. The reason this is only news is because they stand on the high moral ground. |

Oh, I don’t think it has anything to do with moralism about sex. The moralism on such things only seems to extend to politics and possibly celebrity, and it has little to do with sex as such. It is driven not by principled concern about the social consequences of the sexual revolution (eg family breakdown, abortion, and a rise in misogyny), or out of concern for the serious matter that someone has broken a solemn public marital vow. It is driven instead by a rather ravenous desire to humiliate and mob the famous and influential.
If you want to see real censorious Puritanism in action, try dissenting from real modern orthodoxies about diversity, gender or sexuality. Then you will see moralism in full sail. The real purpose of an article like this is to reinforce these modern rules by suggesting that dead rules, written on statues that lie deep under the sand, still have some power.
As for the sneer at “middle class morality”, this might have been amusing in GB Shaw’s day, but I think any dispassionate analysis would recognize that the most tolerant, constructive, happy and compassionate societies have a great deal of “middle class morality”. Only those who live under its protection can afford to sneer at it. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Barnaby blames the hectic travel schedule on his marriage breakdown.
Here I was thinking it was sticking his dick in someone that wasn't his wife. |
