The whole thing is a joke; bombers got off light and the afl came out smelling less than pristine. Its a stain that won't go away for decades. |
FWIW I don't think this has anything to do with Essendon/ASADA. Noting that the paper reported the arrest being in relation an allegation of "trafficking a drug of dependence", I really don't think it's in relation to PED's.
Obviously we don't know how MT has become involved in all of this, but I really hope for his sake it's just a bit of bad luck. |

^Sure, the bikie staying in his place last week just slipped through his usual air-tight AirBNB selection processes.

You didn't read my post properly. I said I doubt it's related to PED's (PERFORMANCE ENHANCING drugs). I suspect it's something far more sinister. |

He has an excellent footy brain, and on that basis alone, you would have considered him in the event of Buckley departing.
However, when I heard about his mental state last year after the fallout of the supplements saga and something that has continued to affect him to this day, I didn't think he would have been a good candidate for the job even in the event that a vacancy opened up at the club.
I think it's likely he won't return to the game in any capacity. Sounds like he's completely fallen out of love with it. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

“They just moved in, you just can’t get rid of them,” he said.
When asked whether they were living there full time, he said: “On and off, on and off, he just comes in when he wants. He just used to ... do whatever he wanted.”

Thompson has been in the headlines this week, but friends and people in football have been worried about him for several years.
The Sunday Herald Sun believes there were concerns for his welfare when he was coaching Geelong almost a decade ago when the Cats were winning premierships.
“This doesn’t surprise me,” a Geelong source said after his arrest last week. “I just hope he gets better and hope he fixes his life up.”
Thompson left Geelong at the end of 2010 and moved to Essendon as an assistant coach before taking over as senior coach in 2014 after the supplements scandal.
But insiders say he was unreliable while there, often turning up late to meetings, or not all.
“He was in and out. If you’re assistant coach you need to be there at every meeting; if you’re only half in the door it’s difficult to do your job,” a source said.

Judging by that, I think TP likes coaches to be a little crazy. |

I guess the fact they let him travel overseas is a good sign for his friends and family. |

I saw him inside the Port Melbourne Bunnings a few days before he was in the news again.
Looked terrible and rather overweight. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
