Two days of salary for 17 years of Collingwood. Seems like a fair price to pay.

E, I am so happy for you --- earning $4,653,750 per year.
No doubt you truly deserve your lofty pay.

And it's worth every cent Cool

The only thing I watch on commercial TV is the ABC news.
Movies whenever you want, the history, crime, Nat geo etc, etc channels are priceless.

I win Cool

Smokers spend $30/day on a packet of filth.
Fools buy a 6 pack of premix gunk for $25.
Pigs line up for $20 worth of groul at a maccas drive thru...

I LOVE foxtel Very Happy

Good point on those bad habits!

through the app Foxtel Now.
you need a Foxtel subscription that links the
two together and then your able to watch any
live game anywhere you want, which is
perfect for me as I work interstate now.
also Telstra mobile can offer you the AFL LIVE
app free when you sign up as a network customer.
really good when your traveling anywhere and
you don't want to miss a thing, like the finals for e.g.

Okay, from what people have written, it seems the AFL Live option is only for mobile devices. But you should be able to connect your smartphone or tablet to a TV with a suitable cable. The TV end will be HDMI; the other end presumably will be microUSB. This option sounds handy for those constantly travelling. They could simply bring the cable on their travels and plug into the hotel-room TV.

ads on FTA never bothered me - is only one barring breaks and you don't miss much if any action. It annoyed me more to pay for tv annnd getting ads.
other annoying points:
- the directors are trigger happy skipping around angles and overusing closeups - as if the game was dull and needed skipping around to give me excitement. completely miss the point; its a wide game on a big field give me more of the establisher. Its like the directors want to be the next baz luhrmann!
- where is the progress? We are in a digital age with a digital stream. We should be able to pick our own camera angles, commentators, have cameras target tracking devices on players. Nobody is thinking out of the box.

Folks, I am Legends member and have not been able to attend games for 2 years for various reasons. Frankly, I haven't missed much and once I get my 25 years up I may pull the plug if we keep dishing up joyless drivel. I used to have the full foxtel package but I found that I get just as much enjoyment out of the AFL app. I get a subscription for free because I have a Telstra phone. The replays are terrific as I almost never get the chance to watch the games live. I don't miss watching knob heads like Robbo, GW and the rest of the crew.
