Today watched The Grind and quite enjoyed it —Bucks a mini golf master
Nope👎

And Wells one hopes can get on the paddock—he seems a very sensible individual

The atmosphere comes across as relaxed yet positive and driven

Taylor Adams absolutely oozes leaderships and interesting whilst talking on
new players bonding and learning the boundaries that are required he noted
Nick Maxwell involvement (seemed pleased about it I thought)

Are we again Bound for Glory well gee hope so

Merry Xmas lads and come back safe and well 😃😃😃

I think my 5yo daughter may take Bucks at mini golf! Have to admit some of these training excursions put me in mind of Zoolander

I have to admit it's looking good for 2018. The guys we recruited are all fit and raring to go. Reid and Goldsack are both in full training. Elliot and Fasolo are the two injured players who are a bit of a worry. Apart from that it's mostly looking good. I'd prefer we had a few more quality talls, but you can't have everything in life.

Has always seemed the more reserved type (in contrast to e.g. the more bubbly guys like Ads), but seemed to betray a bit of emotion when he talked about this. Interesting...

Who knows how we will go, tend to think we will make the eight but I said that for the last 2 years and got burned.
A number of media people don't rate us for 2018.
One dude from the roar rated us at 14th.
This is what he said.
1. Adelaide
They are an awesome side and the best team of 2017 heading into the grand final. They will continue this with the addition of Bryce Gibbs.

2. Greater Western Sydney
May have lost Steve Johnson but their best can certainly take them all the way. However, a third straight prelim final loss is predicted.

3. Sydney
Started 2017 0-6 then finished sixth. Their’s is an awesome team which includes some talented young players, and they always seem to have an impact.

4. Geelong
May have veterans gone, but still have Gary Ablett, Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Hawkins and Joel Selwood.

5. Richmond
Going from 13th to premiers, the Tigers have really stepped up their game.

6. Melbourne
Set to enjoy their best season in more a decade. Their spine looks just about set, they just need to continue on from last year and have better discipline.

7. Western Bulldogs
They will recover from last year’s drop and be back to their best.

8. West Coast
Have lost Drew Petrie, Matt Priddis and Sam Mitchell, but will scrape into the eight again with the return of Nic Naitanui and Josh Kennedy.

9. Port Adelaide
With the inability to defeat top sides I can’t see them being at their best in 2018.

10. Essendon
Lost Jobe Watson, and while they have talent in Joe Daniher and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, they will drop off from their 2017 finals appearance.

11. Fremantle
They’ll improve in 2018 but need to be a little more aggressive.

12. Hawthorn
Other than Tom Mitchell, their recruiting is not a pretty sight. Still a rebuilding side, but they’ll cause a few upsets.

13. St Kilda
Not a decent rebuild. A lot of fast players, but the skill isn’t there, particularly after losing Nick Riewoldt.

14. Collingwood
Defeated a few top eight sides in 2017, but need to perform less like seagulls at the chip and takes risks with pushing the ball forward.

15. North Melbourne
Still rebuilding, but should be back to their best in coming seasons with the talent of young players.

16. Brisbane
One of the youngest sides but they have an experienced coach and will be led by Luke Hodge, meaning more young players could prove to be stars.

17. Gold Coast
They have pace but are extremely sloppy.

18. Carlton
Need to improve on the depth of their midfield.

^ Dude seems an apt description. He's just some random Hawk fan off the street (which is not to say we should believe so-called 'experts' either).
He actually did make 2017 predictions:
GWS Hawthorn Sydney Bulldogs Geelong StK FREEMANTLE Adelaide
North WCE Melbourne Port RICHMOND Collingwood Essendon GC
Carlton Brisbane

I guess these predictions speak for themselves...

looks like his big prediction is that this coming year is going to be just like last year. History suggests its not that simple.

By the way, predictions are like opinions which are like....

I assure you that the above won't happen. We're much better placed than at the same time last year. We have much better depth than the previous year. We are particularly strong with mid-height range in and outside mids (184-191cm). Our weakness is in the spine, run off the half back line, entries forward of centre and goal kicking skills. Murray addresses the half back issue. Daicos/Kirby addresses goal kicking skills and heaps of training exercises address our forward entries problems. If Moore settles into the CHB position and McLarty comes on as a KPP, that partly solves our spine problems. I expect all sides to improve next year with the exception of GCS who I think will go backwards. How we improve relative to how the rest of the teams improve will determine whether we make the final eight.

That may be harder than winning the flag. Right now, to win the spoon, you probably need to be exceptionally incompetent even if you have bad luck, but to win the flag you can be only very mildly competent as long as you have a lot of luck.

Serious question.
Does anyone in the media or football world rate us in 2018?
I haven't heard anyone rate us.
But someone might know someone who does.
And Pie supporters don't count your opinion on this one.

Throw a fit Wells into that mix along with the others you mentioned; you gotta like our chances
