Pretty much although a retirement city. There are chemists everywhere and bars. Viagra and beer are the 2 biggest sellers. There are at leat 1000 bars here all play music but anything after 1990 is banned. Unless the girls takeover. But I do get the footy here. 6 games a week live with the other 70 channels for 80,00 a year. Foxtel sucks. Those games I can;t get some bars get the feed so I don;t miss out. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

How is a 15 month sentence enough here? If they want to know what this coward grub is up to bang him up for a few more years. I hope the DPP appeal this sentence. Still at his age he might find himself on a few dance cards. Stil some woman will take him on when he gets out in the insane belief that he is rehabilitated and she can help him. Until he shoots her with a nail gun for being 5 minutes late with the dinner.
The whole country is trying to raise awareness etc about domestic violence and this bozo on the bench gives him a sentence more fit for a burglar. It does not or should not pass comminity expectations.
It is a shame Chopper is not around and still banged up in Rishdon. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

The grandson is a good kid, but he's a stubborn little mannerless turd who really doesn't comprehend the word "No".
I need to adjust my attitude, if his mother is just going to let him do what he wants, its not my job to teach him manners. It would help if his father and Aunt didn't just watch while he climbs up on chairs and tries to destroy pot plants but I guess that's modern parenting.

^ once a lot of adults started behaving like eternal children some years ago, they lost interest in trying to force children to adopt adult behaviour. I suspect this, more than anything else, is why there is so much rudeness, conflict and selfishness in our society today. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

It takes a village to raise a child!
I’d point out the damage said pot could do if junior pulls it on top of himself. The worst part though, is when it stops being cute, and the poor kid doesn’t know any different and the parents start losing patience. Don’t give up Stui, not for the adults in his life’s sake, for his sake. Kids need boundaries, and a rudder. Cheers _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Kids need boundaries, but I can't build them in 2 hours a week. I'm just gonna let shit slide, within reason, and leave it to his dad. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

It Is unfortunate, but without better evidence it’s reasonable to conclude that it was just an oversight. I’d be interested to know where the Andrews family had been immediately prior to the trip : for instance, if they had set out from home in the early morning with their kids in the car it’s highly unlikely that the driver would be alcohol-affected. If they were, say, coming back from lunch somewhere, it’s a different context.
The cops may have thought the breathalyzer a lower priority as the child’s injuries came first, and Ms A may have had no sense-traces of alcohol. If so, they may have planned to do the routine testing later. And/or each cop may have thought the other had done it. As Freud said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. You really need to hear the evidence from the participants before you judge.
Given two layers of inquiry, and an opposition and press that would love to make a case out of it, it seems unlikely there is anything corrupt here. Sometimes cops, like the rest of us, get their procedures wrong and screw up. Still, it would be good to know some more about the circumstances. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

They don’t deserve all the credit. Australians are doing a pretty good job of that themselves. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
