He'd be running around at Cramer Street, so it'd be quite funny.

Rookie and Pre-season drafts today.

Expecting a ruck and some KPP mature-age depth plus Oxley and Ransay.

Keegan Brooksby, ex GCS, (either in draft or as a delisted FA) was one I thought met our needs.

Jaidyn Stephenson just punched in a 6.44 in his first 2k since being recruited Friday. He can definitely run #pies @CollingwoodFC https://t.co/qpEePxgI9b

King of the time trial: Tom Phillips. Flipper loves this time of year. In second place was Levi Greenwood, with Josh Smith close behind him #FOREVER https://t.co/MQw6grOVs7. [This could be a tweet of old news as WL’s training report contains different info for 27/11/17 time trial.]

Did Sidebottom run today?

There will be 43 selections, as attached, in today's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

All Clubs eligible to participate in the Pre-Season Draft have advised the AFL they will not be participating, and as such, there will not be a 2017/2018 Pre-Season Draft. https://t.co/RcoMFT82Af

Carlton has notified the AFL this afternoon that it NOW intends to have a single selection in the Pre-Season Draft. At this time, they are the only club that has nominated to be part of this draft, before the Rookie Draft.

Flynn Appleby

Speaking of impressive key backs, the draft stocks of emerging defender Flynn Appleby continued to rise on the weekend, with the Rebels backman blanketing Bendigo Pioneers star — and possible top-five pick — Jarrod Brander. Appleby kept Brander to just 1.1 from three kicks for the entire game to be named in the Rebels’ best for his sixth consecutive game. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-draft-watch-carlton-north-melbourne-in-the-frame-for-slider-brayshaws-run-amok-in-tac-cup/news-story/c1ad71ec20cc67170e6c959850f30214

Flynn Appleby the best shutdown defender in the draft, joining Collingwood. Kept Kayle Kirby to just the one goal and Jarrod Brander to 4 disposals and 1 goal. #AFLDraft per Knightmare

Brody Mihocek

2017

Brody Mihocek (Port Melbourne)

Age: 24
Position: General Defender
2017 VFL Numbers: Averaged 18 disposals, 9 intercept possessions, 7 marks (4 intercept), 4 score involvements and 86 Champion Data ranking points from 14 games.
WE profiled Mihocek this time last year, but he was ultimately snubbed despite strong interest from Collingwood and GWS. But the gun defender has done little over the past 12 months to keep him out of draft contention — in fact he’s enhanced his chances. Mihocek had 17 or more disposals 10 times this season, including an impressive 20-touch, seven-mark performance in Port’s thrilling grand final win over Richmond. The boy from Tassie, who stands 192cm and 97kg, is a ready-made AFL defender that’s in the perfect age bracket to slot into a professional AFL environment. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/the-matureage-vfl-stars-that-afl-clubs-should-consider-at-the-2017-national-and-rookie-drafts/news-story/0d3d29eafd0874d643d1974bc26b25a8

2016

Brody Mihocek (Port Melbourne, 23, 192cm, 97kg): Collingwood and GWS are rumoured to be interested in the ex-Tasmanian and the son of 13-game Essendon player Jack. Key backman Mihocek had two seasons with Werribee, crossed to Port Melbourne this year and won the best and fairest, his marking a feature of his game. Captain Toby Pinwill was even moved to compare him to legendary Borough defender Sam Pleming. Mihocek more than held his own when standing Travis Cloke late in the season, but he also showed he could play as a forward. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/localfooty/best-vfl-players-in-line-to-be-drafted-to-the-afl/news-story/57290b5a4d1bff2f61ebab8a47c2e19c

OP updated for Rookie Draft.

Given Ramsay is training and not picked up in rookie draft, I assume he must have been another secret signing and is #40 on our primary list.

Unfortunately, Jackson Ramsay was not redrafted this evening. Ramma has been a much-loved figure at the Holden Centre since arriving at the end of 2012 + will always be a friend of all at Collingwood #FOREVER https://t.co/HGnn1w7w2F

Except for the concept that Sidey could do what Dangercat and Dusty can do. Totally wrong.

We had a midfielder who could do that, great body player, very good overhead, his name was Dane Swan, not Steele Sidebottom.
