Kirby was deadly with the ball in hand and worked hard to put pressure on the ball carrier in match-simulations. I rate his efforts today very high. |
Thanks for that Mr WL. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Dunn trained well- I was most impressed with his endurance. He is no spring-chicken, but was on the track 100% of the time. In my eyes, he and Howe have been excellent leaders in working with the younger backmen. On a similar vein, his encouragement of Tyler Brown on his first, authentic day with the senior group was outstanding. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

That's great to hear. He use to be Vice Captain at Melbourne and is Assistant Coach for the girls time in 2018.
Looks like he has great leadership skills leading the backline group. _________________ 2016 Player Sponsor for Travis Varcoe

Compulsory reading Warburton Lad. It gives a great sense that the club is a happier place to be than it has been for years and the players are really determined to achieve success in 2018. If this continues I think finals are not unrealistic. _________________ Daicos, impossible angle ... Goal! |

Great report as always lad! Thanks for your hard work! I find your reports always entertaining and the highlight of a boring day at work.
Out of interest, do you think the new face at training was Isaac Quaynor? Picture in below link. Sorry I don't know how to post pics on Nicks...

Thank you Krispy Kreme Pie- I can confirm that the player was Isaac Quaynor- he is a very solid looking lad with a real burst of speed- looks like an rugby League player with his physique.
He looks a good prospect _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Isaac Quaynor was the player I did not know yesterday- a very solid unit with a burst of speed. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Does anyone here know the rules regarding when Academy kids (such as Quaynor) are allowed to train with a club? |

Good to hear, can he kick? what's he like one on one?
Sounds like we are locking this kid in. |

I'm guessing good, based on the fact he beat Balta this year, although conceding a lot of height and weight. Of course, it's possible Balta was just wildly inconsistent this year. |

Good morning Friar.
He is a solid kick, strong in the contest- was getting loads of advice from his new teammates- they really got around him. Lockyer spent a deal of time with him. He may be a project-player but there is a lot to like.
Im tipping he may be a cult-figure in the VFL team very quickly. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |
