North East Victoria copped a hammering. Areas such as Mansfield recorded up to 130mm of rain.

In relation to Melbourne, it has recorded 23.8mm of rain since it started yesterday and has had 12mm of rain today.

A few posters on the GD forum will blame Josh Fraser for that. He should have stopped it.

The rain has been persistent without being heavy, but I think David is right, the worst is still to come.

We're nearly up to 30mm in Melbourne since the rain started yesterday.

You 'aint seen nothin'!

This chit chat reminds me of the 194mm we had overnight at Argyle once.. the thunder was just one continuous noise all night.

Magic! I love it. The weather does what it wants, when it wants Cool

I've had near 50mm here, but just good steady soaking rain today.

Still, by tomorrow morning we'll have had over 50mm, 2 inches in the old, in 48 hours. That's a fair soaking even if it isn't extreme

Poor BOM cop it from Melbourne people for putting out the warning and then no one's house gets washed away. If they had of dialled back the warning and we got hit by what Nth East Vic has coped, people would be screaming they had no warning Rolling Eyes

Melbourne up to 39mm now, and had 10mm in the last two hours. It's been getting heavier since 5pm.

Viewbank is exactly at 50mm now.

There's something soothing and exciting about a thunderstorm that is hard to explain.

Yes, though less so when your house gets flooded. Laughing

Out west the wind has picked up a bit in the last couple of hours, nothing major though, and while it’s rained a lot we haven’t had real solid downpours, I reckon there’s an extra inch and a half in the pool, that’s not much.
It’s bloody freezing though, I’ve got the heater on a blanket, Netflix binge! Just finished narcos 3, on to el chapo!

Sounds nice! I’m on a bus home from work as the train line is underwater. Wish me luck! Smile

Hope you didn't get soaked, David Wink

Melbourne recorded over 48mm of rain yesterday, which is a total of 60mm since the rain started on Friday. Viewbank has reached 80mm of rain since Friday.

Watching television now and it's amazing how so many rotund women of ethnic heritage are psychic.

It was! Not something I’ve ever done very often! And woke up to another wet cold unexciting no storm summer day! Has anyone actually seen any lightening? Friday morinig it was still really warm, had a swim after working out and it was beautiful, even the rain wasn’t cold! Back in winter pjs etc! Yuk! Must have copped a bit of rain overnight, pools almost back to normal level. I’d say all 2-2 1/2 inches all up. No flooding around here. Anyone had flooding? How deep were the tram tracks?
