If we are to make finals next year we need to be winning games like this. Go Pies smash the dawks! _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

Happy with playing the Hawks first up and the fact that we're the "away" team means we'll play again in Melbourne in round 2.

Despite my 'rage' at the club's off season performance to date, we will win this game. _________________ Go Pies!! |

I'm a pessimist. Mark this one down as a loss (would have preferred GCS). |

Losing to these shit kickers at Whorethorn [minus Rioli] during 2017 was nothing short of a disgrace.
I'd strongly suggest we win this opening game, or the pressure on Buckley will re-ignite faster than you might think... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

After losing so many games to these p^**s over last 5 or 6 years I am really looking forward to playing them at every opportunity now that the worm has turned. A win always feels great but there is extra satisfaction against a side like Hawthorn. We owe them plenty and hopefully we can fill our boots over next 5 or 6 years.
For those posters critical of our trade/draft period spare a thought for the piss and poo lol _________________ People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again. |

They finished higher than us this year and the bookies have them with odds for the flag as the same as us. Hardly the worm has turned. |

when we were in decline, we made finals and finished higher than we did in 2017. putting history aside, hawthorn's list is in bad shape and they have a rebuild ahead of them. their best players are aging and they will have a tough time going up until they rebuild. we on the other hand, could either fail (because the list just isn't good enough), or propel up the ladder (as our youthful team gets more experience together).
i'm obviously hoping for the latter. Mr. Masoncox, i dont know why, but for some reason, i feel like you will feel happier (vindicated) if its the former.
Or maybe you came out of the gate a little strong and your feuds with various posters has made you look like someone who delights in collingwood's failure as it will prove your point. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Stick to the issue Mr E and argue the case. This thread is about Collingwood vs Hawks and not about me. |
