Very sad Stui Sad

We can never know for sure what is for want of a better term lurking within - aneurysms are particularly problematic as they don't always show symptoms until it is too late and once they rupture well......

I hope the family get the support they need and as token as it sounds at least they have each other to love and hug.

a close friend was found by his wife locked in the toilet in his factory yesterday, fire brigade had to open the door, he had suffered a brain aneurysm, they operated and found another, afterwards he knew his name, but the next three days are crucial. Hes 58.

Edit just got a text from his wife, doctors are happy it went well, still in intensive care for a few days. Touch wood, and say a prayer to whatever fairy you like.

Edit mon! Hes saying a few words, and definitely knows who he and his family are. Thank the lord.

I lost another brother in law this afternoon, if you saw the news he was the motorcyclist that collided with the truck near Geelong. Just cant even process right now. In 5 weeks its a year since we lost hubbys brother. Now his sisters husband. At least we got to say goodbye to Ian, just feel so ... lost?

Dont sweat the small stuff guys, life really is too short, cheers

RIP Pete xxx

Thanks guys, appreciated.

Your right Mugwump, I just feel so ... I cant even work it out. We all had dinner last week, I hugged him and kissed him goodbye, I did t know it was the last time.

He spent Sunday with his car club, and yesterday riding his beloved bike with his brother, at least he wasnt alone, though I feel for his brother. He loved that bike, god you say to people, at least he died doing something he loved. God that feels ugh right now. Although its probably true. Early 50s. Sucks. His son just got engaged, and his daughter graduated uni last week. My kids are shattered, the youngest is very close to her cousin. His wife .... sorry, I just cant deal yet.

Cheers, thanks again. Xx jo

There is no real comfort in death so very early, but if you are prepared to search for any, he was fifty, so he knew what life meant, hed watched his children at least grow into men and women, and he is now spared the long years of painful decrepitude that await most of us. Its not enough, but he at least had time to express a life. I stood yesterday among the white stones of Flanders, commemorating Australian boys, hundreds and hundreds of them, 18, 19, 22, 20, 24 etc, who never got the chance to fall in love, to have a profession, to turn their knowledge into experience. There is nothing to be thankful for in death at any age of health, but 50 is at least a life. Sorry if thats presumptuous, I certainly dont want to tell you how you should feel, but we have to hold threads of consolation at times like this.
