From my point of view and with regard to what I noted earlier the other aspect I like about the Bucks photo is that is evokes comparison with the James Dean photo that was popular in the 1980's: "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". If you add that to the pensive, solitary, reflecting, not quite windswept man walking against traffic directions next to him that is, against the flow I reckon its not a bad pic at all.

Then again "Art for Art sake" from a brilliant band of the 1970's & more.....10cc

Then again isn't Art is meant to be contraversial?

thanks, wpt, I do get all that. The pic just doesn't do it for me in a way that I find outstanding. Probably beside the point but would the photo still be considered outstanding if you took out Bucks and threw in some anonymous joe? _________________ Fault finding is like window washing. Cheers FGTH:
I think that was the point though of the phtograph:
Bucks:
team not doing well, coaching status being debated in the media then juxtapose that with
Boulevard of broken dreams (a coaches lament)
Solitary man
Going against the flow
(etc)
So in that context it's a very good pic. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

i thought it was more to do with the somber occasion plus he was a solitary figure on what would have been one of the CBD's busiest intersections any other time. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |
