I know the 'Darwin Awards' Twitter page gives it away, but people might want to read this before clicking on that link:

Two ways of looking at it. The elephant should not be in an enclosure for human entertainment, (this is not a rescue sanctuary).

Second, a man doing his job, in a country where jobs and pay are not easy to come by, died while on the job, not doing something he should be doing.

The problem is the tourist who keep these places viable by their attendance.

No winners here.

As Bertrand Russel said, it must have taken ages for people to realize that a brace of pheasants and a couple of days are both instances of the number "two. "

Or more importantly people should read this:

"Brutal elephant training has been a traditional practice in Southeast Asia for hundreds of years. The problem these days is that most captive elephants in Thailand are used to entertain tourists rather than for traditional purposes like logging or military use.

It’s our demand for elephant rides and circus acts that lead to more baby elephants getting captured from their mothers, tortured, and sold off to entertain us."

The reaction from brighton residents at having the government decide to build 5 small "apartments" on some vacant land for homeless people.

Tick for the government on this one, they're also putting some in Preston and reservoir which, depending on which part, may not exactly be upper class districts, but I love the Brighton one. And the reaction Laughing

pack of uptight self absorbed twats. Laughing

Poor dears. About time the wealthy inner suburbs were opened up to welcome in people of less (or no) means.

There's Brighton and there's Brighton. That's not really Brighton that's East Brighton (slums)

Well the irony of this wasn't lost on me. When I was a young bloke that's where a heck of a lot of less/no means people were. Of course the suburbs weren't wealthy, but boy they were rich.

That's pretty much the personality type I was expecting.

His voice sounds very familiar to me and it would go well on radio.
