When I was in trouble in Thailand in hospital he lent me money when no one else could or would.

A life well lived.

Sorry to read about this Ronrat.

Ah sorry to hear that RR - but a life well lived says a lot about your mate - Vale.

As if hurricane Harvey wasn't enough, now Irma has all of Florida in its sights, warnings go all the way up the east coast to North Carolina. I just can't comprehend it. That's a massive massive path. 2 days drive. How on earth do you evacuate an entire state in time? I have a few friends in its path, and the Noah's ark rescue centre is just outside of Atlanta. Scary. And there is nothing you can do to stop it. Just hope, pray it somehow goes out to sea or blows its self out. Throw in the Mexican earth quake, gees, Mother Nature is bloody angry.

Vale a man who truly used his gift to do good in the world, a big loss to the world of conservation, and the fight against poachers,
Rip David.

A Richmond premiership?

I'll take sodomy via a hurricane fueled flying piece of molten horse knob shaped rock thanks.

A little bit sad.

A friend of my son, her mum died over the weekend. Brain anurism it seems. within 36-48 hours mum went from all good to dead. Husband and 4 kids understandably struggling with everything.

I posted this on facebook, I'll share it here, do what you want with it.

I only know the eldest daughter, blonde second from right in the photo. Good kid, only 21, never met the rest of them but if she's any indication it's a good family, struggling atm.

People being perfectly fine then dead sure sucks. Be it a brain aneurysm, grade 5 subarachnoid haemorrhage (as my friend had) or a heart attack, anything, it's so painful for the friends and family. I've had discussions about whether knowing death is coming is "easier" than just being gone all of a sudden.

She was late 40's, family totally blindsided. Similar to how you were with your friend.

When my dad went, it had built for a while so I had time to adjust.

Pull the bandaid off in one swipe or do it slowly.
